Anyone know the ranges (min, 100% CO, max not including CIP) PSG for US Payroll for 2020?
A buddy of mine is hiring on (post UE) as a Sr. Ops Engineer in MCBU and is trying to understand what salary he can ask for without HR trying to stick it to him. PSG isn't posted, but he would like to know the ranges anyways to know what grade they are making him an initial offer within, to know how much leeway he has so he can ask to up it.
He is being hired as a technical expert to help Chevron because of the Noble aquisition as it relates to integrating the facility they have for the Colorado assets as part of the value chain. He has previous engineering consulting firm experience and actually understands facillities engineering design unlike most of the people at Chevron who farm it out, and are hence dispensable, no offense. He isn't expected to start until December.

@ryj - Must be an HR stool worshiper. Nothing wrong with trying to squeeze every $ you can from this company. Not like they don't do the same, just look at what the CIP award will end up being. HR is nobody friend, you will find that the hard way when you get layedoff and they dont care.
“Sticking it to him” would be not getting the job. He can take what they give him and attach the strings to get more.
