Lie- everything is getting back to normal, no more cuts and calling furloughed employees back. Truth- this pandemic caused more economic damage to this company then people think, it’s going to take a long time to build back. The most simple way to regain economic strength is cutting employees to the bone.
The unpaid week off every month wasn’t to keep people working. It was to see if UP could be ran without you. Guess it ran fine. I’d expect a 25% reduction in Omaha shortly.

The 3rd quarter is about to end, and with the drop in demand due to Covid they'll be forced to make further cuts to appease the money gods. The 4th quarter will see additional cuts on top of those. Rightsizing is likely to continue well into 2021.
You've done your part?! There are 3600 trainmen laid off. How many were let go in Omaha?
Hopefully they don't have much to go.
