First rounds of RIF’s for Digital happening April 15th.
I care about my employees and want to give them as much notice as possible.

GE's dwindling presence in the fortune 500 company, the constant sell-off's and the way management goes about business is EXACTLY why I left and said good riddance! Jeff Immelt has left a long-lasting impression on this once great firm. RIP Jack! it's time for the rats to leave a sinking ship.

There absolutely were cuts, quietly through Skype at small scale. Chances are you won't here about anything if you aren't affected.

@3ggb+13vyhqay nice to know if you show up to the office you can get away with being less productive. only non-producers should be targeted. keep the rest and give them something useful to do.

There will be GED layoffs. True. However, non-producers are also being targeted for replacement. Remote workers who lack consistent onsite presence from week to week are particularly being given a long, hard look in terms of productivity.

which sites? which disciplines? it's a vicious cycle. ge has a 'rounds of layoffs' corporate culture, therefor more competent people prefer not to work for ge. ge gets hires more incompetent people than it should, doesn't tell them to hit the bricks because they don't have anyone else to backfill with, projects fail, and rounds of layoffs happen. seeing everyone as an expense rather than an investment isn't helping either.

dump all the people who don't know what they're doing or simply don't deliver, hang onto the ones left with both hands, put new hires through a tough gauntlet of interviews to make sure most of them are really good, ditch poor performers quick, and stop this round of layoff nonsense while there's still time. screw current project schedules for a minute, if you want a future, you need to attract people who are capable enough to help you build it. invest.

@OP

If you really did you’d tell them in real life not through an anonymous forum.
