LTI for VSP

It looks like if you’re taking the VSP, you’re not going to get LTI. I get it in principle but does anybody know if this violates the terms of the acquisition agreement?

Honestly, I don’t know. The rules were never transparent, it just always showed up in my bonus statement until this year.

How does a regular employee qualify for LTI anyway?

Original OP, to clarify, you’ll get previously awarded LTI but you will not be awarded any new LTI. This is a grayish area because LTI has always been advertised as a significant portion of your total compensation and if it’s not awarded the. Is that a violation of the terms? At most I see this qualifying people for COC in the event they want to exit earlier than their VSP date.

Does it matter? Is the LTI worth anything?

I would think that if one get VSP or somehow (it's getting late in the game) COC after the bonus and LTI for this year is awarded, then likely will be entitled to another payment of bonus for the next year.

Having said that, since this is going to be a small group of people (few dozen if that) I will not be surprised if the legal hurdles will be higher than what the several hundred APC legacy personnel had to deal in earlier months. So yes consult with lawyer

I am not OP, but I heard that the LTI you already have will vest but you will not get additional LTI associated with this year’s bonus. Not sure if true or a violation.

Why do you say that the VSP will not get any LTI?

OP, I would love to know the answer if you do talk to lawyer. Thanks!

Speak with a lawyer. I wouldn't recommend looking to this site for legal advice.
