Thread regarding Alliance Data Systems Corp. layoffs

Stop Complaining

Stop complaining. If you hate your job and the company - LEAVE. If you hate your manager, find a new position. All the people on here b–ch and b–ch and b–ch about how bad the leadership and company is. Stop complaining and do something about it if it’s so bad. Get into management yourself to fix what you deem is wrong. There’s a reason you’re on the phone. And if you’re on the phone go to school and add credentials and skills to your resume for a better paying position that offers better pay, incentives, flexibility, etc. the complainers on here are what’s wrong with the company. Did 2019 s—? Yes! But every corporate goes through things like this and we need to turn things around. I just don’t get It, if youre so unhappy why do you continue to work here?

@1hdv+13AHGiIm You sound ghetto! How dare you tell people to STFU! Yes, one can find employment elsewhere. That is EVIDENT! If you don't like what is being written here, then feel free to see yourself out, otherwise take your own advice. With your "friendly" attitude you'll more than likely be looking for another job real soon. Can't say I wish you the best of luck because you make your own misfortune!

To the person who posted this, and all who are EMPLOYED and complaining, you are ALL excused from the lay-off discussion. I lost a job I didn’t love but came in every day and did It to the best of my ability. When I got laid off I found another job. I own my career and I’m responsible for the forward path it takes. Maybe keep it positive and inspiring or STFU. Peace and light to you all.

Yall getting fired one by one
I worked closely with ads account
And watched them cancel their services with my company one by one as they have been doing mass firings for the last 15 years.
Its not going to get better its just a matter of time for everyone. Employees need to either leave or demand a union.. bottom line..and customers need to sue.

@pfu+13AHGiIm Is that the “best” you can say? I am on the phones and am doing quite well. Get off your posterior and start making changes to help ADS, not continue to make it the disaster it is!

"I just don’t get It, if you're so unhappy why do you continue to work here?" That's an easy one to answer. Inertia and fear of change, that's why. Once you're settled into your job, it takes effort to extricate yourself out of it (send resumes, write cover letters, visit job boards, etc. It's work to find work.). It's analogous to a large ship that is moving slowly or stationary. It takes work to overcome the ship's inertia and change its direction. As for fear of change (or the unknown), when one is settled into a now comfortable routine, one becomes fearful of changing one's status quo. Why take a risk and change things when you're secure in the feeling that tomorrow's job duties won't be any different than today's job duties. It's been said that, while a comfort zone is a beautiful thing, nothing ever grows there.

@OP+13AHGiIm You're entitled to your opinion, not matter how FOOLISH it may sound AND you also have the right to be WRONG! If you're so tired of hearing the b-chind and complaining than there is no need for you to be on this website or, for that matter, posting on it. Why not take your own suggestions and make changes within yourself? Unless you're in currently in leadership and know that your ill-advised efforts are nothing more than delusional ramblings, knowing things will not change for the better. What a pitiful attempt to shirk ADS' and leadership's accountability by blaming others–that's the primary tactic when it comes to avoiding accountability and responsibility: BLAME OTHERS! What have you done to make ADS a success? Have you participated in associate engagement? Have you coached upwards to your leaders? Have you put together a program that will help to inspire and motivate others? Tell us @OP+13AHGiIm. Rather than point the fingers at people who are unhappy with the way their company and leaders are treating them, use active listening and carefully read the feedback that has been provided on this website and in the employee engagement survey! From what you said in your initial post, it sounds as though you just sit on the sidelines like an automaton and sycophant to leadership, not moving unless you're told to do so. Are you afraid you'll be next on the layoffs because the company continues to underperform and fails to embrace the associate's feedback and create a culture of change? This is a platform to provide a comprehensive look that the company wants to keep buried from its investors or the world. I challenge you, @OP+13AHGiIm, to begin making the changes from within if you're so confident in your abilities and role rather than shame people for expressing themselves when they (ADS & its leaders) try silencing the workers. If you cannot comprehend why people are so unhappy and continue to work, then I suggest not viewing this website and move on to your perfect little world. I believe you know the answer to your own question: "...why do you continue to work here?" If not, then I'll answer it for you. Because some people are at a point where they require a job and were mislead, by their leaders, to believe this company valued their workers. People have invested a lot of time there, possibly like yourself, and are waiting for the turnaround that was herald by CEO and so forth. Are you telling me things will NEVER change and to accept the falsehood or to move on? What a FARCE! I see the only complainer is you and your insecurity that your job will be gone when they have to cutback again. BEST of luck to you. And if you ever are on the receiving end of misfortune from ADS, look back to your careless statement you made out of "loyalty" and ignorance. Embrace it!

I agree. Why be miserable and make everyone around you miserable. I get some people are upset on how things went in 2019. There’s no denying that. But gosh it’s so exhausting seeing everyone be so negative all of the time. Negativity does nothing for anyone.
