We are severely understaffed at my store - to the point where overtime is gone within a week or two. And there is no indication they are planning to hire any people to help. I really don't understand their reasoning.
How is this good for business? It's costing us customers on a daily basis...

SoCal isn't just Long Beach or LA, although anything within 50 of Long Beach would be SoCal. But yes, this entire thread is pointless and you and I going back and forth isn't helping anyone.

Now if you just had a clue about staffing levels in one of these high volume stores, let alone 150+ locations you'd realize how laughably ignorant it would be that say that for instance Culver City or Pasadena would only be hiring 1-3 TM's. Hello.... A city is a city. Targets open position search tool is searchable by city, not buy area. I realize large concepts are difficult for Mr. union hack to handle.

No such thing as full-time anymore. They only want us to work 26 hours a week so they don’t have to pay us insurance. Which in fact saves them a ton of money. Thanks Target. I’m sure corporate people still get their benefits and health insurance. As we struggle in stores to do the work of four people in a five hour shift if not we’re written up

Stores are consistently k–ling mature sales comps. We are actually raising our sales goals and increasing our HOUr allocation. We don't have enough staff to fill them: FACT! Have you seen any of the hundreds of reports on Target lately?
Minneapolis suburb here. Come one, come all. Plenty of hours here for you. We've beat sales goals for months and months. College help is heading back to school. We need people to fill shifts, I am doing the work of 2 people not because of cuts, but because we can't hire enough people. Starting wage is $13. Not bad for a cashier. Help!

correct store sales are flat in most locales at best they are going after digital sales and dsd are driving sd's etl's and tl's to cut in store payroll expense to get an in store profit take a look at your basket size
