I got an offer at BP (Level G) with a 20% target bonus and was told the last couple years the actual bonus ranged from 40-60%. Can anyone comment on this? Would you guess the next one to two years will be around that range? I was also told BP bonuses were company wide performance and not site specific. Thanks.

What’s the salary range for a G grade?
@Kvvz+1lHZgfPI - base level bonus for F is 25%. E is 30%.
Same equation. Your salary x (base bonus % x group modifier)= your actual bonus.
What is the target bonus for F level?
What was the base offered for G level?
Typically the BP wide number for bonuses has been nearer to 1 both above and beyond based on a number of metrics for the company. In my 12 years it’s been zero once during Covid. I would factor 20% flat as the bonus and not be surprised if some years it’s below.
Hi, I was made an offer too at G level and it was 20%. Can you share if the position you applied was at BP downstream at refinery in North America or some other division?
Can’t relay on the bonus! It has been zero in the past and if oil prices go down will be again. Target is 20% so expect this to be the long term average. If your not happy with the base salary on offer best to look elsewhere
yup - that sounds about right.
Bonusses are assigned to the levels. 20% is correct for G.
This basic rate is then multiplied by the coefficient with represents company's performance in a given year (on a global scale. So no local performance, no personal performance. Just global results).
Maximum is 2.0, but bear in mind that even for the historic 2022 the coefficient was 1.62.
So end bonus would be 20% x 1.62.
G level bonus target is 20% and always has been.
