What is this company going to do? No plans to develop a new clean slate design for the middle market and the legacy 777/777F and 767F will shut down production somewhere between 2027-2028. The 747 program is rolling out the last plane now. The 777X may never get certified. Who knows what’s happening with the max 7 and 10. That leaves them building the tanker in Everett, the current 737 derivatives in Renton, and the 787 in SC. The product line just keeps shrinking and Dave Calhoun says no new planes. It takes over a decade from program launch to first deliveries of a new airplane model. With high debt and no cash for future development, how can this company turn around? Is BCA done for? It sure seems like it. Glad I’m getting out while I’m still young enough to make a meaningful career change.

Great perspective herein and the usual BS and down voting from the Boeing PR lackies. This site has become the best source of info on Boeing.
What's the difference between a boat and Boeing?
No sails.
Sounds plausible.
I can see that happening. About only thing of value Boeing Commercial Airplanes has these days are their manufacturing facilities real estate. Airbus could put that to good use. Made in America will get them US government military airplane contracts. Shoot, Airbus won the USAF tanker contract and if recollection serves, they teamed up with Lockheed Martin.
Heard similar rumor. Airbus is looking to support US government procurement and partner with Lockheed Martin to make this happen. Kay Sears is spearheading the talks. We shall see soon enough.
I seriously doubt Lockheed Martin would be interested in buying BDS given BDS very rarely wins any substantial aircraft programs. There really isn’t anyone interested in purchasing a second tier defense company.
Airbus exists to give jobs to European citizens. Don’t see how buying Boeing would benefit them. They run their company to do what’s best for their employees not for a few upper level executives, which is the reason why they’ve been beating Boeing so badly.
And I could see Boeing completely shutting down their F 18 F 15 lines and laying off thousands of workers before someone would buy them.
Yep, a total lack of moral turpitude at Boeing. Good riddance.
Breakup and bankruptcy 2nd quarter 2023. Boeing defense side going to Lockheed Martin. Commercial airplane manufacturing facilities going to Airbus. Boeing will retain airplane support for some period of time. Done deal except for the official announcement.
Boeing closed its Seattle R&D center
This tells you All You Need To Know
There is No Future For Boeing
You stfu.
Just stfu.
When you got new competition in China & their rival airbus hiring people who want to work & willing to work hard to make a honest living, you’ll thrive. Boeings last hard working generations were the boomers & X-ers. They were successful through hard work & determination. Nowadays you got these Millennials, Gen Y’s& god forbid even Z’s conjng into the work force. They spend 70% of their time on their mobile phone. The result, bye bye Boeing Seattle greater Area.

The Boeing company has in 2022 resumed 787 deliveries,
it has also taken billions in losses on troubled military programs, delayed several
commercial aircraft certification timelines and failed to hit 737 output targets.
As a result, much about Boeing’s future remains unclear,
and opinions are split on whether postponing development of a
new commercial jet is the right move.
Financial analysts think it makes sense,
While those in the aerospace industry think Boeing might be falling deeper
into a competitive ho-e.
✈✈✈ “There Are Consequences To Not Investing,” ✈✈✈
says Michel Merluzeau, aerospace analyst with AIR,
Noting that Airbus continues gobbling up market share in the narrow-body space.
By the time Boeing finally has a 737 replacement ready –
which could be the early-to-mid 2030s –
“Airbus will have a much more-significant installed base of aircraft”
Says Merluzeau.
In late October, Boeing reported losing $3.3 billion in the third quarter,
largely because Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) hemorrhaged cash,
closing the period $2.8 billion in the red.
Boeing Commercial Airplanes have had a banner third quarter,
Losing $643 Million.
Leaches, Not Mosquitoes ---- Like Boeing --- Leaches Can’t Fly
Boeing leadership are like mosquitoes that suck your blood and give you malaria.
Boeing’s market share is going to continue to shrink as Airbus ramps up their production and also builds longer versions of their already successful airplanes. Comak will take a big bite out of Boeing’s Asian market share, particularly in China.
Due to Boeing’s mismanagement and spending large cash reserves on stock buybacks instead of investing in a New Aircraft program situation is pretty dire. They have no cash reserves to fund a new aircraft program and due to all the retirees taking VLO not a lot of expertise.
Seems to likely to end up outsourcing almost the entire engineering for the next aircraft…… which we know how that went on the 787 the last time they did that.
Most of suppliers now want to be airbus primary supplier since they have the largest largest market share not Boeing.
Not sure this ship can be righted. And I see droves of people either retiring, or changing career fields.
Doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out most actual engineering is being done by suppliers and not by Boeing. Not going to attract a lot of new graduates with that.
Look for the official announcement in April 2023.
Starliner Needs Even More Fixes, and Probably won’t Carry Astronauts Until
2023

Private spaceflight is taking off, though some are going faster than others.
As SpaceX preps for its sixth crewed launch on a NASA contract,
their rival Bombastic Boeing has announced that they will be delaying the first
crewed flight of their POS Starliner spacecraft until February 2023.
This setback is the latest in a string of problems for Starliner.
It results directly from repairs from a mission back in May
while the capsule was barely able to dock successfully with the ISS
it suffered from problems that caused two of its thrusters to fail.
The thruster problem appeared to be caused by a drop in pressure that caused
Two thrusters to shut off during its orbital insertion burn.
While this didn’t stop it from docking, it was similar to a problem that caused
the failure of the first Starliner test flight almost three years before.
Apparently leaving Boeing’s sophomoric engineers flummoxed over a fix.
Reckon Boeing is spending more on hyping their stock than they are spending on fixing 737/787/777X, USAF tanker, Air Force One, Starliner, and SLS issues.
Orders will never become deliveries after mid 2023. Stock will continue to be overly hyped and rise until then for executive stock options sell-off. The going out of business plan was leaked and documented.

Max 10 is not certified neither is the 777-8 freighter. Those orders mean nothing.
Skymark Airlines plans to add 737-8 and 737-10 models to all-Boeing fleet
Japanese airline, Skymark plans to add up to 12 Boeing Co's (NYSE: BA) 737 MAX airplanes as part of its fleet modernization efforts.n
Boeing, Silk Way West Airlines Announce Order for 777-8 F

Boeing Stock Is Rising. The Company Finally Provided Guidance.
yea ..... as soon after they deliver all these orders they will shut down ........
Even if the tanker didn't lose billions of dollars, even if the 737's didn't fall out of the sky, even if the 777X didn't fail as a viable new program, even if leadership didn't blow $45B in stock buybacks...Boeing would still outsource as much work as possible. The fact this company is an absolute disaster is probably saving jobs at the moment as they even failed in outsourcing.
MCAS
Mortality Certification Assurance System
At our annual performance review our manager said we would be wise to pursue other job opportunities before middle of next year. He couldn't disclose more because of NDA.
Yep, the quicker and higher Boeing stock rises, the quicker will be the crash, bankruptcy and breakup. Just look at history of MD stock price. Playbook is the same. Only winners will be the executives.
Another Blow To Boeing 737 MAX 7 Certification
https://www.airlineratings.com/news/another-blow-to-boeing-737-max-7-certification/
The U.S. government watchdog will evaluate the
Federal Aviation Administration’s oversight of the aircraft program.
Not the bombastic buffoons at Boeing.
The Transportation Department’s Office of Inspector General
will audit the FAA’s oversight of the inclusion of MCAS software,
which has previously been alleged to be a factor in two deadly
MAX cгashes in 2018 and 2019,
then later proven as criminal in a court of law
according to a memo from the OIG.
The website said that “last month the WSJ reported
that U.S. flight-safety officials asked Boeing to review its safety documents
for the 737 MAX 7 in another possible obstacle to receiving approval for the Frankenstein airplane before a federal deadline expires this year.”
Specifically, we will evaluate the FAA’s compliance with the
applicable statutes, regulations, and policies in overseeing
Boeing actions concerning the two areas.
(Due to the fact that the FAA has been shown to be every bit as inept as
and as Criminal as Boeing.)
We plan to begin the audit later this month and will contact your
audit liaison to schedule an entrance conference.
We will conduct our work at FAA Headquarters and the
FAA regional office in Seattle, WA. If you have any questions,
please contact me or Marshall Jackson, Program Director.”
Boeing no longer has the right people to do anything right. They know they can't compete against Airbus, COMAC, SpaceX, etc. What you are witnessing now is the executives sucking the last blood from this bloated corpse. It's as simple as that.
Perhaps I am mistaken, but it seems like Boeing like many companies is relying on designs that were developed decades ago and may be incapable of putting a totally new product on the market today. If true the end is near for Boeing.
All these Boeing CEOs do not want to fund a development program because it will mean years of high cost and no huge executive bonuses.
This is how they got in this situation. McNerney refused to fund a 737 replacement program because he wanted to spend all the cash reserves on stock buybacks to pay himself millions. Why the board of directors which Calhoun was on, wanted to bring in a CEO like that is beyond me. Other then to make themselves wealthy.
I think they are going to ask for a government bail out to fund the next aircraft program because there’s no way they can’t fund it. The government needs to say no, and let them fall into bankruptcy.
