Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

Stock Recovery

Our stock has meandered back up to 17. Not certain if the credit goes to Ynon or simply that we've been out of the headlines and haven't made any embarrassing, cringeworthy blunders or claims lately. Either way, sit down, shut up, and do your job. Maybe we can delay the inevitable selloff a bit longer.

The only reason that the stock has meandered upwards is due to the laziness of the analysts and the management team that placates them. The analysts only look st Barbie’s growth, and since there isn’t any, the settle for increased POS. How does POS improve in a declining brand? Easy / just stop supporting your other brands, random the company by only supporting Barbie, and hold off bankruptcy for another quarter. But this is a short term concept that isn’t sustainable since Barbie cannot sustain a realistic or even reasonable rate of sale on her own. Eventually there won’t be any brands to steal from anymore - then Barbie will finally die and MATTEL along with her.

Yes, Ynon's novelty has worn off and the honeymoon is over. UBS downgraded MAT to neutral. Hold on to your butts, layoffs ahead.

Truth! The layoff back in 14? 15? a bunch of folks were immediately hired by hasbro, relocated, used for their process info and were unceremoniously dumped like yesterday’s leftovers.

the stock can miraculously bounce back to $30 and everyone in NYC is still going to be out of a job except for the fools who think they’re being transferred to ES because they’re so “valuable” not knowing that they’ll be training their replacements. chumps

Trump gave a 3 trillion tax cut to the rich. Of course stock prices are up. So are interest rates and inflation.

The stock price is higher because the investors and analysts only value the PERCEIVED health of Barbie. MATTEL has ransomed its future, as it has been doing for 15 years, by shifting all its marketing spend to Barbie, effectively stunting growth of all other brands. This is a short lived plan that only devalues the assets of the company because even after all this Barbie shipments continue to nose-dive.

Our great leader, God Emperor Trump, has truly made this country great again.

Trump absolutely is to credit for our increased stock price. Stocks across the board are up, consumer confidence is up and unemployment is low. Mattel is a big player in the corporate arena and is sharing in all this winning!

Love him or hate him, you can't deny Trump is a beast on the economy and is at this very moment effectively winning himself a Nobel Peace Prize as he meets with North Korea to accept their offer to denuclearize.

Trump's economy is hot, like a raging furnace of job creation and corporate growth. Even the those suffering from a case of full blown Trump Derangement Syndrome can't deny the facts.

Ynon the Phenom hasn't had enough time to really leave his mark, too busy cleaning up the deviation after Hurrican Margo, give him time. For now the stock is just benefiting from the Trump Bump economy.
