Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

VLO

I have been hearing rumors of a possible VLO in February, Anyone else hear this rumor? This is what he's told me and he's got 30 years.

Expect more layoff in 2021, with the end of 747, slowdown on 777, and 787 going to South Carolina and the 737 not recovered its going to get rough. Rumor I hear is another VLO in February and looking to shed 30,000.

Thanks

Once again the union proves illiterate.

The original post said that they had coworkers who got their layoff papers and have their last day in January and February.

Since WARN notices are 60 days, and Boeing is still withing the WARN time of more than 500 people in the past calender year, they are REQUIRED by law to provide WARNs.

If thier last days are in Jan and Feb, then they would have had to recieved notice in Nov or Dec respectively.

Since the WA state WARN website shows the last people were notified in Sept and their last day was in Nov, the original statement is FALSE.

I am not a manager because they do not have the logical reasoning to figure this out. And we know the Union is not smart enough to use logical reasoning or they would not have been screwed out of their pension on the last contract.

No one said there would not be WARNs in January, of course there will, with a last day in MARCH. and there will be WARNs in Feb, March, and so on.

The point is the original post is a lie and it is easily disproved.

@8ucm+18E70whI is a current BEMS # carrying manager somewhere within the evil corporation having nothing better to do but trying to defend an un-ethical company that is no longer American. Absolutely clueless! Just hope the "individual" gets ILO'd ASAP! Obviously not working but trolling here.

@8ubv+18E70whI is correct. There are VLO/ILO for this month of January. Regardless of what Boeing management here i.e. @8ucm+18E70whI says. No dummy, none of us will say what state. Go pound sand! No update for your spreadsheets. Go back to your job of irritating the remaining Boeing s—ers still stuck in that gulag!

@8ubv+18E70whI and in what state would that be? Because the Washington state WARN site does not show any notices at Boeing since 9/21/2020 with a final day of 11/20/2020

https://esd.wa.gov/about-employees/warn

Becareful with your next lie, because every state has a website like that, you can be fact checked.

I know that some coworkers got their warn notices January and February will be their last day. We shall see if there is another VLO in February.

Why would a company fighting for existence sweeten a VLO offer. And the original plan and needs for further layoffs havent change since it started this last summer, anyone that works there and is needing info on this now has their head in the sand.

Do you watch the news? The airlines don’t have cash to take delivery. They’re not gonna take delivery of any aircraft orders. Either delay them or cancel.

Do you think they wanted a govt bailout so they can buy more 737 max airplanes? They have more capacity then they have passengers now. they are canceling flights left and right due to a lack of passengers. Why would they need a new airplane now?

The airlines simply cannot pay for new airplanes currently And they have no need for a new airplanes when they need to cancel flights. And Boeing is not going to deliver an airplane it’s not gonna get paid for.

Perhaps the Big (or now maybe little) B should sweeten the VLO offer

They built 450 737 max after they were grounded. If they are this incompetent they are capable of “just building airplanes without a customer”.
They also blew $45 billion on stock buybacks instead of using the money to develop a new airplane. So there is no telling what the genies upstairs will come up with.

Boeing cannot build airplanes without a customer. They’re not gonna build Airplanes and have them sit on the runway waiting for a customer. They don’t have the money to do that. They will cut production to one aircraft a month or even stop it if they have to. It would not surprise me if 737 production is stopped. The order backlog is critical.

Didnt we vote twice on the last contract?
They waited till after xmass break when all the old folks were still out to do a re-vote.
They will get what they want no matter what we say or do. Be ready to get shafted over and over again.

Company loves you guys. Fighting between all of you . Last contract was what happens If you do not stand together. One percent pay raise, lose of your pension. You must stand tall arm to arm and if the union gives in over ride them. You are the future and hold you future in you hand united. Sounds like BS but it true.

well the post about millennials is so true
look it is not a personal attack and this is not a granpa thing it is a reality
anifa , explode with violence , demand immediate ceo position , entitled , attack attack
society norms are eroding and these great young people have been hood winked by radicals my god never so true
they will understand eventually but it will be to late
they take joy in personal attacks and revel in hurting people socially with social media we see it every day

Raised Latchkey and on playstation and /or Xbox With limited social skills,
many of the millennial’s are sociopath’s with the following attributes

  1. Antisocial personality disorder
  2. Can’t understand others’ feelings / No Empathy
  3. They’ll often break rules or make impulsive decisions without feeling guilty for the harm they cause.
  1. People with ASPD may also use “mind games” to control friends, family members, co-workers, and even strangers. They may also be perceived as charismatic or charming.

Unless they have been home schooled or have been raised by at home parents,
assume the worst as you can see here
This is the most dangerous of all generations do not associate with that type,
no good will come of it.
At worst you could find yourself defending yourself in a court room for what was
a justifiable act

Does the union provide Mules and the Sheep for Boeing’s mental midgets?
It’s just another question.

They always announce VLO or ILOs just before the quarterly earnings call. The 4th Quarter 2020 Earnings call looks like it might be the first week of Feb 2021. So execs might announce something towards the end of January 2021
