So hostile. If you can’t take the feedback or someone else’s opinion you probably should not post anything. That’s the point of this site to post opinions. Funny that you made that political. Wasn’t intended but not apologizing. Get a job and do a job well. If doesn’t work out, move on and find something better. And name calling is childish you may not want to do that if you get called for an interview.

You are a complete id–t. If you forgot pandemic began this year, and guess what? It’s not so easy to find employment you stupid f*. And what makes you think I didn’t perform while awaiting change at Staples (including possible lay-off)? Again why you have to hate? You are quite upset too I’m collecting unemployment, what kind of individual are you? Totally tapped in the head, just like the boss I worked for. Anyway, whoever the f— you are, I say mind your own, you are senseless, no one can make America great until Trump is out of office and we get control of this virus. And you, haters like you make America un-great! But yeah you are a complete id–t whoever the hell you are!

Very well said and agree. Good ones are exhausted. It’s a true shame there was actually opportunity for Staples to continue to make a significant impact. There is no reason that they couldn’t have kept up with the Targets and Walmart for the business customers. Owners and Senior leaders have focused on bottom line profits to get to their number and not true sales or associate growth while the real sales leaders past and present have given blood sweat and passion for their customers and the company not enough to offset the greediness and disrespect of the few at the top unfortunately.

I understand where you’re coming from and in most instances I’d agree. The constant shredding of jobs and the way they do it has brought great people to the stance of waiting to get fired for severance. The answer to everything Staples does is layoffs and they keep robots over really good folks. Even the most positive have now become distraught. That’s entirely on Staples.

Sorry not going to congratulate negativity and commentary about waiting for severance and now apparently taking advantage of unemployment and not looking for a new job. Forget making Staples great again that ship has sailed but how about make America Great again and make an effort to get a job and stop celebrating getting something for my guess is not much effort on your end with that attitude. No need to respond nobody cares. Have a good life taking advantage of someone else.

Look you, why the hell do I leave empty handed because my position went side ways because of unfit leadership? Knew layoffs were at the horizon, I waited patiently and boom it happened. Good severance and great unemployment to follow during the pandemic? Why would I sweat it? No need to man up nothing. Staples got 10 good years out of my life, so I deserve to leave with some change, you hater! So Be quite with your smart a– comment. don’t hate, congratulate. And you, make Staples great again, okay! Good luck! I’m out ....

Jobs come and go but a career is something you have to work for.

Why would you pray for severance- if you didn’t like the job you should have manned up and left on your own terms. Another reason Staples continues to struggle. People hating the company taking a paycheck and just waiting to be fired. Not bringing value that they could bring because of their negative attitude. Very sad hope in your next job you treat it with more respect.

Omg, lighten up. Job goes job comes. I got 16 weeks severance for 10 years service,PTO accrued paid in full used or not and and job placement agency all paid for etc. if I need to use it. So seriously more than Anyone would expect from a struggling corporation and I’m so thankful. I don’t look back and cry over anything. And no I wouldn’t want my job back, no thank you. Happy with my package. Sorry you feel that way but I feel opposite. I got what I prayed for. I’m freeeeeeee

I would take my job back over any severance or PTO payout. Wait until it happens to you. Hard to lose your job when you were a dedicated and loyal employee for many years.

I was well taken care of by Staples. 16 weeks severance and that’s 16 weeks more than they had to do. People can complain all they want but that’s because they have an entitled mindset. People need to just grow up and realize that they aren’t entitled to anything!!

They haven’t laid anyone off in Contract and not given out severance. I’ve been through several the last couple years and talked to many who were let go. I also believe you do get your accrued PTO. However, if you quit, you don’t get any unless your state mandates it. I know this because I got out of this evil company last week and called HR about the PTO.
