I hope NM also reduces the Wipro QA team. If we take a closer look neither the company nor the business benefits from their contributions, as they only hike the support costs due to their negligent work. But the managers here who oversee the offshore teams are getting rich, could say their combined income is higher than the c-suites.

To be fair, DG did try to get flexible scheduling for everyone, but CM and JES shut it down. There was a big meeting where DG supposedly became very upset about it.

Well, when you’ve differentiated yourself enough in your career in which your value and potential impact allows you to dictate more favorable terms of employment, then maybe you can get all the nice things you’re asking for.

Until then, you’re a T3 with a chip on your shoulder. No one cares. And that includes all your P2/P3 non-tech peers at the company who make less than you and also have to come into the office more than you.

@8rfc+1urVGQGa If DG and the other members of USAA North were held to the same standards, I'd treat coming into the office more seriously. But seeing that they are held to a different standard is what makes myself and others upset.

The real problem is tech staff at NM gets paid the most money out of any role and also has the most relaxed expectations for professionalism and performance. Entitlement culture is a real thing in tech at NM.

While other areas like product, data, or literally any business area are barely functional and their culture is in the toilet, you can always count on a few entitled ESD id--ts to claim their life is the worst because they have to come in the office a few days a week instead of sitting at home playing Warcraft.

The actual grown-ups in the company see this and either don’t care, or they recognize the entitlement for what it is and move on with their day.

I’m a software engineer T3, I’m enraged at the many references “we” are all virtual comments during this meeting. I was denied and my co worker were denied the ability to work remote. We were told Dave wouldn’t approve any T1-T4 requests. Up until this meeting I didn’t realize all of Dave’s directs are REMOTE or in NYC.

It was the ivory conference room barking our propaganda today. We are part of the Government with the layers and BS.

Wow 3 people in a room lecturing during the all hands. Does he know we Tuesday is a mandatory day to be on campus? The guy is a dashboard PowerPoint robot, clueless with no actual personality.

Email and emails conduct meetings in person to build the NM culture. DG’s contribution to culture, put a + on ESD. Him waiting for my applause.

In our teams watching session it became comedy hour in the hypocrisy of what is said the DG leadership team.

He turned off his camera to save bandwidth when answering the layoff question (only question he did that on). What a coward—his approach seems to be to shield himself from scrutiny. How many more years until his LTIP matures so he can leave?

Maybe DG should be in the office; I've heard the bandwidth is better there. We’re required to be in the office 3 days a week in Milwaukee, while the "golden children" in NYC are there 2 days (and DG's chosen remote workers are not required in the office at all). Flying around American and my teams are not able to attend conferences.

Frustration with this leadership team is that while NS's departure because he couldn’t balance a checkbook, there was a reality that you should be able to reach out directly to higher-ups. Not anymore DG, built the insulation layer of USAA North around him a more hierarchical structure where you must notify your manager or director before contacting a higher level.

The + in ESD+ stands for command and control, do not speak out fall in line, minions.

Moral is on life support from T1 to T6

It was asked in the ESD leadership meeting today what plans are for future layoffs and if they are going to stop, DG responded by saying they are going to be a regular thing and we should expect them to continue happening from here on out.

ESD+ (lazy rebrand) must work for USAA in the past, the plus is for members only others are only ESD. CM admit your mistake of DG for our employees sake and move on!
