HR confirmed that there will be another round of layoffs shortly targeting benchers some management staff who are getting old and some administrative staff

This never happened. HR will never admit, verbally or in writing, that they use age for the criteria - a lawsuit would immediately follow…
According to the new recent development, could it be that trimming fat is to stop?
If “getting old” refers to a person’s age, then this would be a RED FLAG 🚩 and a U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) violation.
“ The Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA) forbids age discrimination against people who are age 40 or older. It does not protect workers under the age of 40, although some states have laws that protect younger workers from age discrimination.”
Our expensive matrix structure is our own undoing
There is plenty more fat to trim. Expect more rounds.
Are Accenture layoffs finally over? Looks like there are no infos any more about this.
Are you sure you are posting under the correct topic? This is Accenture related....
AT&T could layoff 100k and still continue losing money because of the stupidity of the SBC infestation through the company especially in all business leadership positions. It was over the day Mr Ed announced the takeover of the best and last RBOC, BellSouth. Now T is nothing but a dumpster fire of all the years of great work of the men and women of BellSouth and Cingular.
Associate directors who do not deliver are also in the list
Does anyone have any info on when the benchers will be laid off?
Know of a couple of MDs who announce their “retirement” end of Feb too
Associate director of Accenture Dublin announced his last day in the company. Few long tenure managers "Open for work". So, true obviously.... O man....
Any news?
We should switch to becoming politicians as there seems to be no age discrimination there. There is an 81 year old grandpa running the country and a 77 year old one vying to take his job again. It’s a sad state of affairs.
Apart from senior staff with longer tenure and not delivering as forecasted, how many other staff are expected to be laid off in Dublin? Today the news is that Accenture stock unfortunately declined. Thus, layoffs are to be expected. But in terms of numbers? Someone said here it will be higher number than last laid off batch, that was 890 people in Dublin.
‘Older’ means longer tenure and higher career levels
I heard they will target senior staff who committed big numbers but did not deliver
“Old” = Over 50.
When you say old, what exactly does that mean?
Layoff started with old managers more to follow.
Expect layoffs sooner. The management is ready any day to send folks home. All old managers have to be cautious on what is happening around them.
When can we expect these layoffs? It said shortly, but is this within next month or until summer?
Doesn’t matter age and racial discrimination is here to stay. Dublin will experience more layoffs this time.
Hi, is this regarding Accenture Dublin? What is the scope or targeted people? Last wave was 890 people and it was quite a lot of people.
Management staff who are getting old? Can you say age discrimination? 😲
wow
