We know the layoffs are (unfortunately) happening but for those of you that have been laid off can you tell us how long you were here and what severance you were offered?

@8exy+13tQ3446- Ok. Lol. Did they not have the option to negotiate or did they take other options? If in good standing, hard to understand why they did not receive an offer of severance if they didnt get fired or take another option.
Umm... no. Just because you got your severance after your ADP layoff doesn't mean everyone did. Sorry, but you don't get to call out anyone on "rumors" when you don't know the people who didn't get their severance. I know some of them. They do exist despite some people who don't want this truth broadcasted.
@5bbe+13tQ3446-Thank you! Sounds like the salty are spewing rumors, but I got mine too-and adjustments-as a homeshore. Definitely no truth to the rumors.
I was given two months notice and then 26 weeks severance. My last day is March 26 and I am home shored.
NJ law will mandate 1 week pay for each year employed, effective July 2020. Triggered by mass layoff, affecting 500 or more employees, or 50 or more employees when that represents at least 1/3 of the employees at an establishment. So based on those guidelines, ADP would probably not be impacted. Beyond that, there are no federal laws that dictate severance pay must be given. NJ will be the only state that has any such law. So it's purely customary and at the discretion of the company. Long story short, ADP can make up the rules however they like.
Here we go again. There is no guarantee of severance pay. Yes, they have been giving it for a long time. But it can stop or not be given at any time they so choose. Although here in NJ, that could possibly change. We now have a state law mandating severance pay (1 week / month of service, not sure what the max may be) when done in mass (50+ workers). And requires 90 day advance notice. The state did this because the business environment is so bad here, they're trying to slow down the exodus of companies that are just laying off everyone and moving out of state. But that law is not slated to take effect until July, since it was only recently signed into law. And I'm sure the ADP lawyers are looking at it to see how they can get around without being penalized.
While I did get 6 months of severance pay when I was laid off at ADP (but health benefits shot down immediately), I know of several colleagues who were laid off (not fired for cause) who did NOT get severance. They were quite upset about it.
Please everyone.. if you don't know for certain (for example the claim homeshored not getting severance).. don't reply. VERP homeshore folks got the same offering as in office. Laid off associates, as stated below true lay off as opposed to fired for cause,, get severance regardless of office location.
Homeshored do get severance if they are part of a layoff
And not let go due to performance issues then they are not given severance
I know many homeshored employees that received severence.
Homeshored people don't get severance? What? That is the first time I have heard that. I wonder what the basis for that is?
Based on past experience, most home shored employees do not receive any severance just to give a heads up.
Yes, severance won't exceed 6 months no matter how long you've been with the company, for ordinary ADP folks.
Letter graded is still capped at 12 months. Keep in mind that the non compete 1 year period begins at the end of the severance payments.
usually 2 weeks per year of service, with 6 mos cap. Unless you are VP or above, where there are more generous packages. I was laid off earlier this month. Happy as can be and feel sorry for those who are left behind. There is 0 job security and 0 management support. "leaders" will keep firing people the instant financials look bad, and expect those who remain to pick up the work load. So those who leave get a package, and hopefully find a new job that is not at a dysfunctional company. But those who remain will see work load double and triple, while so called leaders blame front line people for strategy failures of management team
Depends on time of service but won’t exceed six months unless you’re a letter grade associate like a VP, then it’s a sweeter deal.
