What's the word out there in the DXC regions around the world?
Has the usual end of year cost cutting axe been swinging in an effort to meet revenue targets ?
I heard that ANZ had it particularly hard in the last few weeks?

I received my WFR this week and so did 800 others, my manager tells me. One one account both myself and the other Industry lead were given notice. We were in the middle of trying to sell more business and had the SOW ready. Now some poor s—er needs to pick up the pieces.
The keep putting in layers of new middle management who conjure up useless new procedures, that's were all the delivery resources are bieng wasted on useless overheads to keep the middle management in a job due to procedures they have invented to stay in a job.
Simple need to trim 3 layers of middle mangers and all will be sorted.
They don't want you to know - that simple. Its now called "re-balancing" the work force. Simple fact is they got a "free kick" from head office that they would pay the costs of redundancy so the message went out "now is your opportunity to cut costs" and reduce headcount by 20%. Except they have cut this on billable work or skills that are needed like security pen testing . Mainly because their managers actually doing know what skills are needed in IT given that most of them are not actually from an IT background. But they do know how to swell their purses as delivery begins to creak at the seams.
I know they’re not hiring New employees to replace existing employees that have left. It’s mind-boggling, they’re leaving money on the table.
Phrases such as "seize the market"..."build, sell, deliver" (I am sure some of you recall that one and it is one of my personal favourites) "we need to be more nimble and agile" etc etc are a joke...they are not strategies, or mission statements or even visions...
What does DXC think its competitors are doing? I can only assume they are under some assumption that competitors are all ignoring markets and client needs, being slow and inflexible? Answers on a postcard...;-)
The axe is swinging. No science to it. Delivery on the brink of not being able to support existing clients let alone any news ones yet executive keep pushing the “seize the market” tag line. The only thing that will seize is the business. The only thing that won’t is executive bonuses. Leaderless, rudderless, useless. No strategy to lead this company out of the mire.

I don't know, did you?
