I feel your pain. Under Broadcom APM my manager team are the least involved people I ever worked for. I even have difficulty even to type managers because the only thing they manage is passing blame, running errands during business hours, taking care of family, etc. they flaunt HR work from home policy. I feel they are dreaming of a layoff too. Nobody can be this deliberately incompetent. Heck you might be my useless manager
I would k–l to be laid off right now. almost 2 yrs at Broadcom and I'm over it. They don't care about the employee. Managers don't communicate. They've essentially eliminated my position anyway.
So many deluded people. As long as there is a saving to be made, they will cut people. And it doesn't matter whether you're brilliant or the village id–t. The payouts are stacked in a way that you will rarely see the golden sunset, you will be cut before that happens. All their purchases are strategic to increase the stock price and increase their customer base where possible. They rightfully saw the Mainframe market as a cow they can continue to milk, ESD is an afterthought and will soon be gone.
Remember the mantra: Broadcom is in the business of making money.

We come and go as we see fit. HR says they will check badge access, but nobody cares. Certainly not hr. They make threats, but they are empty with zero enforcement.
In our office Broadcom let go some dumb Non H1b. But us on H1b will always be safe. Broadcom will never let a H1b go. We are invisible. Hopefully Biden wins 2020 so we can hire more

Broadcom has ic5’s doing manual testing. They have an elementary coding ability. Anyone that thinks this company can’t cut some bloated fat deadweight is delusional.
What is the situation in Europe? We are already training new Indian hires to replace us...
