Raleigh is listed! https://www.sb360.com/select-projects/events/
Stopped by today. The liquidation is in full force - almost everything is 15-40% off, got some Roebuck & Co clothes. Lots of ladies clothes are still on the racks, quite a few men's and kids'. Random sizes - still a large variety of Levi's jeans, if you wear those (I don't).
Only a few Craftsman tools left and prices are not better, than before liquidation witch coupons.
Almost no sporting goods (ping-pong table is available for everybody to play, though).
Men watches are sold out (with exception of a few ugly and overpriced at $150 after liquidation "discount" Invictas).
Very sad - the end of an era. Sears and Roebuck _were_ the Amazon, if not for hubris, stupidity, and utter lack of expertise by Hacks from Sacks, _you know who_ from Florida island and other effing corporate losers.
@7val+1ccTYSxX I was wondering that too. The 4 stores listed on SB360 will be dropping off, very soon, (I think August 22). Perhaps the liquidation didn't start yet, in Raleigh? If it was a Kmart, I'd have just called them and asked them about their closing Date, but with Sears, I have found it impossible to get a human at most store locations, on the phone. I get this "press 1 for this, press 2 for that" recording, but whatever I push, I never get a live person. Their # is 919-792-2600, if anyone else wants to give it a try.
Is Sears using a different liquidator for this store? It is not included at https://www.sb360.com/select-projects/events/sears-list/

@2wdd lol, your record will be when the lights go out on the building. A news article is not needed.
I seriously hope that there is more in this "round" than just this 1 random closure. These 1-store closing lists are weak. He should do at least 10 per round, to have a substantial list. I hope we get some Kmarts too, in this round.
It is (was?) a good, clean store. The lady manager took great care, floors were always organized, never had problems with online pick up either. Big loss for _sensible_ customers in driving area.
Good to see another nail in the coffin.
Sears at Triangle Town Center, Raleigh, NC is closing this fall.
Yes!
I clicked on your link but it did not take me anywhere.
I doubt it was leased out to someone else. This mall still has Belk, Dillards and Macy’s for anchor stores.
No, there is no logic to which stores are left open. Leaving a lone store in the middle of nowhere doesn't seem to matter; and seriously, how many of the stores left are really making any money worth keeping the lights on for except probably Guam & V.I. ?

And then there were 25 left!
OK, but that means Greensboro will be the only Sears in the state and they will have to send trucks specifically to that store with no other store nearby. He could still close down Greensboro even without someone leasing it, if the store is losing Money. If he's losing Cash by keeping the doors open, then why keep them open?
Maybe someone bought out the lease on Raleigh and not Greensboro. Not that hard to figure out.
If they're doing that why not bang out Greensboro NC as well? Ed has this habit of leaving 1-store stragglers in several states. Clear out the state and be done with it!
That's great! Only problem is that there will soon be about 7 videos from elevator guy "going over" the closing. Anyway, I hope we get some more soon, and hopefully some Kmarts too.
