Next time I hope the gods are with me and the severance comes my way. The learning modules are insane. Yeah 129 PowerPoint presentations are all I need to run this 4 mil dollar territory. Thanks Pearson for another miserable year. Maybe we will actually be out of business next year this time and the shackles will be off!

I WON SEVERANCE!! I am going to Disneyland!!
I hope Tom Brady is there...
I am a shareholder and was fired.
And customers? Ha. Most reps haven’t had the same customers to care for in consecutive years for how long?
Yes, rally as a company that just laid off TONS of people and not ONE Senior Manager was let go.
Yes, rally behind a company that cares more about 1CRM data than accurate sales number that would benefit the people.
Yes, rally behind a company that thrives on underpaying their people and force them to find employment elsewhere before offering any type of fiscal evaluation.
I’m good. Think I’ll continue to TOTALLY sandbag it while looking for employment elsewhere.
" Now more than ever, we should rally as a company and bring in the year. The NSM is crucially important as we prepare for BTS '19, and begin to seed business for Q1 '20."
Thanks DG, we understand, and we're behind you 100%,

Speaking slowly for the folks that don't get it.
Correct - DG did not get laid off. You get a cookie.
There are cheerleader (this means someone who is being very positive, fake, and lying about the reality of Pearson) comments on this thread.
Get ready...big jump here...connecting the dots...
Others are speculating that DG is commenting on this thread as aforementioned cheerleader. gasps from the peanut gallery
DG didn’t get laid off...
DAVID GESELL
I finally got it
Sorry slow today
Yes, DG sound will be posting about how attractive people are on the lay-off bc the man can’t otherwise think of adjectives to describe employees.
Think it’s fairly obvious that DG found his way to the layoff...
D--k grabber?
Don Golini?
Daniel Grundei?

Pretty shameless that Pearson management is coming on here to make it all seem normal. Always there to negate normal human feelings. Not playing anymore. Too many shoved aside like garbage.
Ok who are the Pearson cheerleaders?!
The Pearson cheerleaders are coming out in full force again......btw Charley's Steak sub are some good sandwiches. I bet one of the regional dinners will be there to save costs.
Reps who post questions that have been asked and answered 50+ times a semester certainly doesn’t help the case. Hundreds of hours of lost productivity have gone into producing the very materials the sales force told senior management they want to consume, and then complain about having to consume them. And now those Field Marketers who invested the time, energy and effort to support the sales force morning, noon and night are gone in one swift stroke. “Thanks FM - you really made a difference. Your last day is July 5th.” And people have the nerve to complain they still have a job they wish they could get a severance from. Pathetic is an insult to pathetic people everywhere.
"Maybe we will actually be out of business next year this time and the shackles will be off!"
I don't understand why you stay if you're so miserable. I'm in now way pro Pearson, but seriously, if you're this unhappy that you're praying to be canned with severance, why not get your resume together and look somewhere else? You sound just as pathetic as the company you despise working for.
If they don’t give you goals again, find a new company ASAP. Your other option is likely getting laid off next summer and by that time you’ll have several years of no measurable success to put on your resume. This could hurt your career as a sales person.
I wouldn’t trust this management’s vision to run a Charley’s Steak Subs in a shopping mall.
What a complete joke.
Management’s vision?!! HAHAHA!!!
We still do not even have an expense reporting app!!!
Let’s roll out TEP 1 month before BTS and cost the company $300M.
Hahahaha hahahaha....management vision.
The second year in a row you haven't had viable metrics for sales performance?! Try 10 years in a row, at least.
You should consider yourself lucky to have such a dedicated pre sales team and services partners to help you. Pearson is committed to changing the industry! Management's vision is a beautiful one. One Pearson!
Setting us (sales) up for success?! Seriously?!
This is the second year in a row where we haven’t had viable metrics for sales performance.
Who the heck knows if we’ll have viable metrics next year.
It’s all smoke & mirrors. It’s pixie dust. It simply doesn’t matter.
KC’s idea is to eliminate the sales force for all intent purposes.
No more editions. SAE’s moving everything into IA, even if it is not profitable for the reps. The vision is pretty clear. You’d be an id--t to not see the writing on the wall.
Please put on your flotation devices & prepare for impact...we’re going down.
Ahh, yes pre sales did such a wonderful job that the entire FM group was fired. What a reward!
And I’d hardly call a bunch of PowerPoints a videos wonderful. Do you honestly think any tech company (which we strive to be) handles internal learning via PowerPoint? Are you effing kidding me?
I found ZERO inspiration in KC’s email this morning. I nearly printed it out and used it for toilet paper. There isn’t a sincere bone in that little twerps body.
It's the Summer of Learning. Those PowerPoint slides were put together for a reason. To help you. Because you need it. You need help. You're a generalist now. Pre-sales has done an amazing job setting you up for success. Embrace the change and follow today's inspiring email and video about perseverance. One Pearson!
Agreed. The learning modules are so terrible. Shows you how much we know about learning.
I’ve talked with several reps who are simply opening modules, waiting 30 seconds, closing.
