I’ve been here longer than a decade and I’ve enjoyed my job, but the atmosphere is horrible now. This place has never been more toxic. The toughest everyday challenge now is no longer work, but how to ignore the bad vibes and what to do to make your current work situation more enjoyable?

Yea disgusting how some posters tell others to go fu-k themselves because their opinions differ. Freedom also involves everyone having their own opinions.
So, ironically the title of this post is about workplace toxicity. I think this series of messages proves that point to be correct.
I follow rules established by higher ups. If I dont like those rules I can try and change them by becoming a rule maker or simply dont follow the rules and quit or get fired. Looks like that's the choice you made so you're the one that just fu---d yourself. Hope you can support yourself and your family based on your beliefs. Not really. Dont care what the he-l happens to you.
Everyone is going to get Covid. Even the "Fully Vaccinated". People that are "Fully Vaccinated" can spread the Covid they get, but since they don't feel as bad, they take their Covid to work with them. If this is the first you are hearing of this, you are uninformed.
This isn't me making this up, this is currently happening in EVERY highly vaccinated country that hasn't achieved natural immunity through virus spread. Go to worldometer. Verify this for yourself. The vaccine mandates are a power trip by a government that wants to see how far they can push people before they push back. They aren't "science".
How do people not realize that this virus is now endemic? Not saying people shouldn't be vaccinated, but the vaccine alone is not going to "end the pandemic" as those who are vaccinated can still pass on the virus to others. Instead we need to learn to live with the virus. According to the logic on here, everyone is going to be required to show proof of booster shots every year or every six months in order to retain their jobs. How long can that realistically last?
One could make the argument that we need to encourage people to be at normal weights and keep diabetes in check to reduce the effect of comorbidities, which would directly reduce deaths and make the effect of others passing on the virus (vaccinated or not) a moot point. Are we going to mandate people report weight and vitals to retain their jobs (or worse, maintain them)?
By the way, 1565 (=738,881-737316) people died of Covid in USA yesterday 10/26/2021. You tell me, how many more people have to die? Over 5Million (and many more of the uncounted ones in the poor countries) worldwide that have died.
Take some time to really think about it. Remember, it's not a number, it's a human life.

I agree with @1yyk+1dqzrtZv. Go get a vaccine and stop crying like a baby. Get back to work. Billions of people have gotten it and are alive. A resurge is covid is happening because of the unvaccinated. How long are we going to keep this virus going? You want to see your kids die, your parent die, you partner die, your neighbor die, your family members die, yourself die. Come on, don't you want covid over with. We all have to take the vaccine during the same period to stop this thing. Over 738,8K deaths. That's just not a number, those are people who have died that didn't need to. Haven't you heard on the news - the two radio jocks that kept say "don't get the vaccine" got covid and in their hospital bed finally said to everyone, "take the vaccine". If you end up in the hospital, not only will you be feeling bad, but think about what your family will be going through. Sometime, you have to stop being selfish. This really isn't about freedom or your rights. This is simply about if you want the human race to live on. You want your kids to live on. Don't you see so many variants and mutations occurring again and again. You think it's going to magically stop. Most of you are engineers, so you should know the science behind it. We as humans, need to pull together on this one and do the right thing in order to get rid of this virus. The only solution we have at the moment is the vaccine (in the form of a shot for 95% efficacy or pill with 50% efficacy). Just sit yourself down for a few min and put aside the topic of freedom or rights, and just think about the human race. Think about how many people are dying everyday. When you see someone on a ventilator what do you think about. Don't you wish you could save their life. Don't you wish they didn't have to go through this. What if that person was your kid or someone you knew or even you? Really sit down and do some deep thinking.
Too many old timers there. You should be changing jobs every 2-4 years. Everyone knows everyone's business. Get some young fresh blood in there.
I can't tolerate aholes like you who want their cake and eat it too. The company has rules and regulations that everyone needs to follow. If you dont like those rules than leave. You have a choice but you just bi--h and moan about it. In fact you need to leave the country because you dont want to follow rules established by the government. Good riddance. Seeing as people may be losing their jobs over the mandate I would say it is on topic. You are part of the problem.
I thought this page was to talk about layoffs, not to gripe about your job, the vaccine mandate and anything else about RTX that you don't like. Can we get back on topic?
