@7car+13Gw5WZy Why sickening and worthless? The company is actively hiring.
I can't believe I just found this. So the interview I had yesterday with Pure is apparently worthless! Sickening. You go into an interview after researching the company & you hear nothing but "flowers & sunshine". And then I see this. Ugh! I'll definitely look at The Layoff before I interview anywhere again. Just looking at Google news doesn't tell you everything!

Some of the cuts even started towards end of last year which probably was not included in the 4%. Desperate attempt to appease shareholders and try to become profitable as stated as a primary goal in their Q3 earnings statement.

Update: 4% of the workforce was laid off.
The commenter who talked about positive nurturing culture - that changed some in the last few months. Charlie even said there were changes coming and staff reduction was a possibility. The new sales Delivery VP who came from NetApp is known for cutting staff to the bare bone.
And another person I know got cut today.
I was another. part of Enterprise Sales. Solutions are not ready for Enterpise space. Not many making their #'s and money. Political BS. Thye kept a sales guy in NY region who hasn't sold a thing in 3 years. Joke #seeya!
Too bad but probably necessary. Change s—s and is always hard but there is a ton of opportunity out there in tech so everyone will be fine. In the end Pure has relentlessly protected a positive nurturing culture which is not easy to do. John "Coz" is a special person w Even though I am no longer with the company I still root for Pure and would recommend to a colleague or a friend to take a role at Pure based on the culture. A job is a job and Pure is a good spot. my .02
21 that I can see, I was one. No message like the first response was communicated to me. It was “company is going to do business in a different manner”. My take, easy way to get rid of people they don’t like, at least for the first round. I believe more to come.
Yep. The message is very clear. If you aren’t willing to accept the new direction the company is heading then get out.
Tons of layoffs, wiping floor clean
