Best of luck lads, don't let the door hit you on the ar-e on the way out, eh

Charleton Road, keep flat packing that sub-con trash.
Bakers is doomed all they know is how to sell everything to keep the stock holders happy. Good luck with that.

This being the same senior management that tried to slash everyone’s shift allowance and fired and rehired . Baker were left with all the businesses that GE bought up, and these are alien to them. If you had read the earnings call for last year, you would have seen Maria Borras had a team working on cutting manufacturing in SPS systems by 50%, changes to take place by mid 2024. You are not part of the plan. If you think they are moving you half way round the world, you are mistaken.
1sua+1oHoIhfq: If you had been keeping your eye on the ball, you would know that the die was set well before then.
This is part of an ongoing program to shift production & services to locations that the company consider to be cheaper, albeit in the very short term, & disposal of assets they never really wanted in the first place.
You can argue that no action might have stalled things a little, but the result was always going to be the same.

Cell 3 guys are the most experienced and hardest working in the COE which senior management are well aware of. Due to this it's obvious they would be offered an enhanced package or supervisory role in the new location if T&A were to move.
Going by what we have all seen so far, what makes you think Baker will give you one penny more than they have to?
@7anv+1oHoIhfq
If T&A does relocate at least we will get a nice enhanced redundancy package from Baker. All cell 1 will be getting is a standard package from AME as soon as they suss out how much dead wood they are carrying
Any id--t can sc--w stuff together. The real skill is in the manufacturing of the stuff.
If you guys don’t think for a second that the T&A won’t be relocated to a country with a cheaper workforce, you’re as thick as you all look.
Strangely enough - Turkey. The clue’s in the name 🙄
Where can I purchase these Turkey teeth that you speak of?
I would agree, flat pack is now the norm. Everyone should read the email from sourcing that is sent to everyone once a month. It shows you with pictures all the stuff being made and built elsewhere, with the cost savings shown. Himile in China unitising trees in brand new custom built facility. Also you guys have been training up the Batam workforce. We all thought that Brent would be shut, but looks like a new lease of life with a company that actually values its employees. Onwards and upwards.
Haha… strikes that have come back to bite us in the ar-e? I think the strikes have done the opposite, this is the best result for Brent! Fresh start and time will tell. You boys won’t be building sh-t everything is flat packed these days! Enjoy working for baker under incompetent managers!!
They swanned about with their turkey teeth and puffed out chests calling others scabs, but ultimately the strikes have come back to bite them in the ar@e.
I ask you this, where’s your union now?

Get back to you’re tattie shed, Brent Avenue is the only centre of excellence. Time to shine.
Once Cell 1 are gone, BH will come for the 40%. They know that cell 3 will bend over and take it like the pu----s you are.
When will all the kiss ar** boys realise Baker will bend you over and shaft you.
They realise yous never stood up to them so they will do exactly what they want when they want.
@1yyx+1oHoIhfq
You absolutely hit the nail on the head there mate. Fresh start will be good for all concerned. The only way is up.
The old Vetco that became baker Hughes was once a great company you’d be proud to work for. Back then you’d have yes men and back stabbers- folk that tried to deflect their pisspoor performance onto others. Now that same folk get promoted and protected as all the senior folk want to see is how ruthless you can be in order to progress.
It went from a great place (vg), to a good place (ge), to a horrible place (bh)
Yet still bh peddle the nonsense they are caring
Brent won’t be their problem anymore, but the rest of you will still be a problem to them.
Wonder what colour my new overalls will be. Seriously, a clean break from the toxic Baker atmosphere may be what everyone needs, and hopefully we won’t be too much worse off.
Don’t gloat too much lads, yous have shown you won’t stand up for yourselves. The company know they can pretty much do what they want with no opposition. Hey we’ve had a good run, time to go back to the real world
I just knew someone would say this was because of the strikes. The company don’t want manufacturing in UK or US and will offload or relocate everything eventually. This has been in the pipeline for long enough
Turnkey Company to boot as well, better get the fingers out boys and finish product on time or else......The reaper will appear
No wonder, right? Incompetence or stupidity? Rooftop consolidation or rooftop collapse? D-mb iron dumped elsewhere? What about tattoo removal cost, will the new employer still cover for those?
Staff - will be cut
Bonus - will be cut
Shift allowance - will be cut
Wage - will be cut
Double time - will be cut
And where will Unite Union be?
This would have never happened if you people didn't strike! Who is left is now going to have to deal with a new owner. No more strikes please!
Performance was poor so it was inevitable
Well done to all the strikers. Are you happy now?
