So proud to work dell

I’m so proud to work at Dell! I don’t have a permanent office space! I get to bring my own keyboard and mouse to work or I can used on that’s been by a million people! The best part is there are no trash cans and no other services! Awesome they take care of their employees!

I would not trust any food or drink services offered there. Imagine the cost-cutting we are NOT seeing.

We used to have trash AND recycling bins at each of our cubes in RR! They were emptied nightly by the janitorial staff. I sat lots of different places in different buildings, most with full cube walls, some in little groupings of 4, but we always had individual bins. I started wfh as soon as I could though and that was wayyy before Covid. I’m 100% unsurprised they figured out cost savings could be realized by centralizing the bins and did away with them at some point after I started wfh regularly!

You had the option to stay remote. With all the money you saved on gas you should have moved away from a Dell office.

People need to go out and touch some grass. We have never had individual trash cans, it is centralised which is far more efficient. I couldn't think of anything worse than a bin at my desk. As for desks, the offices have been open for ages and people have been sharing desks and spaces, we sat next to each other before covid and survived we will survive now. Come into site, speak to people, interact with people from other orgs, build your network. It makes Dell and even better place to work!

Try being in the building the entire time 5 day's a week. Didn't get to stay home save on gas wear and tear on vehicle. No cafeteria, no vending machines, No coffee sometimes no heat. Must have been real tough at home in your PJ's!! Oh and didn't you get a stipend for your home office? As far as your keyboard and desk it is called a disinfectant wipe.

In response to the person who posted about dell headquarters being in small town with backwood pedigree this is so true but the small town is also full of racist cops Williamson county, and the small town is SUPER EXPENSIVE to buy homes in. Why would we want to move closer to live in a racist county that is over priced?!?! I'll just keep looking for new jobs and quiet quit till then.

I dont know why yall need toilet paper?!?! If you were more efficient you wouldn't need to dispose of any waste and use all the energy up so you don't have to p-e and po-p. Then you wouldn't need to worry about dysentery evolution is company mandated and will be tracked by your direct managers like your badge ins.

Were we not proud when Lando Norris stood atop the podium as the winner of the Miami Grand Prix yesterday with Dell Technologies across the front of his driving suit.

I never understood Dell until I actually visited the HQ.
It's located in a small town and with a backwoods pedigree.
Unfortunately it's a place where being stuck in time is sold as a virtue.

I was at an used car dealership over the weekend and they provided bottled water and assortment of hot drinks to the public.

I said this before i think they would sell their employees dna if it made money. Dont do the biometric test to save on your health prem.

I’ve worked minimum wage jobs that even supplied free coffee and water.

dell was always cheap. But the penny pinching is a bottom less pit for them.

I think it's ironic they went from covid level social distancing and vax mandates to you can share toilet paper.

Imagine. Now that we have to share offices and cubes with keyboards and mice. A person during the day take a dump. Doesn’t wash their hands properly. Sits down in a cube, works away, goes home. You come in the next day and use that cube or office. Since nothing is cleaned there you either bring your own cleaning supplies, your own keyboard and mouse or take the chance that you could get dysentery.

Awesome place to work. I’ll be leaving as soon as the market opens up. What an embarrassing place to work.

Mike here. No trash cans means we at Dell care about the environment. We at Dell aiming for no wastes are being produced from our products or our employees. For example you can eat a banana in its entirety.. I can think of a million ways to eat your banana peels. huh there may be a good business selling banana peels too... Lets bring back the trash cans!

Yeah, Dell has cut everything to the bone. Several years ago, I interviewed at Dell in Round Rock. I was shuffled into darkly light meeting room. I was not offered water or coffee. It was clear that the thermostat was turned way up and it was quite warm and uncomfortable.

It's a joke. Never seen a company basically nickel and dime everything.
I wonder if they are even paying for HVAC maintenance and filter changes at this point. Janitorial service was definitely cut.

I went in on Friday and immediately left when several people who were sitting around me were clearly sick, yet still came into the office. I am not going to risk my health by being around infectious people. The years I was working from home were the healthiest in years.

I'm regretting selecting Hybrid.
