It’s time for Chip to step down

It is time for Chip to step down. The board needs to take action. This so called rocket ship is going to be another Challenger.

Those folks busy on social media and streaming services sound like those living the lives of management ( upper/lower). Because others in the lower positions (the large number of those doing the grunt work) have way too many "monitors" placed on their workday activities on an hourly basis (by said management) to get away with that kind of inactivity.

The person(s) contributing in support of 'all the great things that Chip has done for 2u-and therefore deserves to remain as captain of the ship' utterly confounds me with their logic or reasoning.
They say " what about the Countless numbers of individual contributors who milk paychecks and put in Far Less than the bare minimum....."
Case! In! Point! to those if you on the board. Replace Chip with a real leader who understands how to LEAD a workforce, just for starters.
He never did and he never will!

Why fire Chip, what has he ever done to you?Remember there are countless numbers of individual contributors who milk paychecks and put in far less than the bare minimum? (Folks busy on social media and streaming services). Everyone likes to complain but not look at how good employees at 2U have it. Those are the same folks who will miss it when let go, or come crawling back.

@6qii+1mcvFSWY, your points make sense--theoretically. But take a look at the Board again.

“What would make you think the Board would remove Chip? Have you looked at these people?”

What about these board members and their inability or willingness to have Chip step down? Their job is to provide high level oversight of the company’s activities and performance. The board’s actions can have a critical impact on a company’s profitability. 2U has not been profitable for a while now. Showing profitability by laying off people, closing offices, not back filling jobs, taking away the degree educational benefit, and bonus is not showing profitability. It is just tightening your belt.

From GlassDoor:

"The C-suite is nearly 100% male and that type of insider bourbon-drinking, old-timers culture is a detriment to growth, innovation, inclusion, recruitment and retention."

"The worst job I've ever had in my life. The company is full of hypocrisy and double standards. I ended up with lots of emotional health issues and I’m on medication right now because of the environment I had in this job and the manager I had. They will always agree with management. I had the worst manager I've ever had in my life. In meetings he silenced the employees, he always interrupted them when they were talking and he is a human being with zero empathy. He made you lie to the students. You are hired for a role with a different title than what you are going to perform in your role."
