Thread regarding 2U Inc. layoffs

I heard layoff round before 1/15

Is it true that there will most likely be another round this week or next? I’ve been hearing other departments getting different/more information than my own. Not sure if it’s just speculation

I haven't heard anything on the Student Success side, also don't agree with the comment below regarding managers not completing reviews with their reports, I literally just did mine yesterday.

TBH I would take anything on this site with a BIG grain of salt at this point, just because of how bananas it got right before break with all of the fear mongering posts and people trolling. Not saying this post is doing that, but still -- idk if it's time to worry currently. Never hurts to keep that resume updated & continue applying elsewhere though.

@6lvn+1qp7x4OI possible, but that old saying about don't assume intent when incompetence is equally likely. There's plenty of incompetence and poor communication to go around in the HR dept...

This would make sense why managers are being asked to not complete reviews with their reports until after 1/15.

Any updates here? Hearing there is a board meeting happening before 01/21.

I haven’t heard anything but I’m not really surprised.
If it happens I’m sure mostly individual contributors will get cut, and all the managers will be spared. Because that’s what this company needs…fewer people doing the work and more people watching them do it.

It’s definitely possible. Paul said at the meeting before the break that there would be more layoffs.
