Thread regarding Occidental Petroleum Corp. layoffs

Bonus

A generous bonus might be able to improve my mood a bit and keep me in Oxy for a while longer.

Does anyone know anything about the bonus this year?

I bet there will be a few that retire before going back March 1st. Covid has ruined working in the office. Masking and people complaining about vaccine status makes working in the office bad. If we could get back to pre-covid work it would change the whole working in the office scenario. Now no one really wants to be there and doors are shut with little communications between people. The whole environment sucks compared to before Covid.

Bonuses will be so good you can retire this year if you are over 60.

The complaining on this site has really dropped off. What’s wrong with this picture. There must be record bonuses coming to the employees in a few months.

There won’t be a bonus when oil goes to 50.

The 'bonus' goes to Warren Buffett. That's the deal Vicki worked out for you.

@6leh, your arrogance is repulsive. Sad that you have to say bad things about people in jobs that aren’t as special as you own (grocery bagger, HR, etc). Go get some help.

Some id--t tried to say that “employees get what they get”. Must be a glorified grocery bagger or an HR goon.

Clearly someone is a standard employee without options.

I’m simply saying do not settle for a long term incentive if you are a top performer. Those are designed to keep people hanging around when they could be moving on to a company that is better equipped to handle paying for performance now rather than deferring it for another year or more.

And I just turned 11 thank you very much

What are you talking about by “don’t settle”. Employees don’t have a choice. You get what they pay you.

What are you like ten years old?

Make a request for 1% of the RIO budget they completely busted on.

Oh wait, I’m told R.I.O. is actually an acronym for SAP.

Better yet, ask for 1% of the “Di----t Idea” budget. There’s a lot of money in there but a lot of internal competition

Cash is king.
Don’t settle for Ghost shares. Those are designed to encourage your continued hard work while they prolong the inevitable loss of your time.

Yes. The bonus multiplier will be x 1.01 in line with the insulting dividend that the company has given the shareholders.
