The contractors where i come from are lucky to have 2 shoes on in the morning.There will always be a need for an experienced,customer and quality focused tech.Will it be here?Future will tell i guess.Do not sale yourselves short.The ball is in the employees court nowadays.You have value.Never forget that.

Altice could easily let negotiations reach an impasse which would allow them the ability to implement any changes they had proposed prior to the deadlock... I'm just saying... don't be so sure your job couldn't be impacted. Thing's don't look so promising for any employee.

What happened in spectrum would never happen here cause for 1, no one is leaving spectrum or Comcast to work for Altice and 2, we would never strike. Worst case scenario techs will be laid off and if they don’t get called back before contractors are then it would go to litigations and taken to court. It’s all about that contract.
Look what the union did for the techs in charter when all the scabs left altice to work there
@6ksj+1f9NILfT Ur not understanding the contract which means ur in a non union shop. They can disguise it how they want but in-house are priority. B4 any in-house tech gets laid off, all contractors must go first and if work picks up then in-house techs must be called back 1st. They already tried it and failed
@5haz+1f9NILfT....you do realize all they have to do is slow down the work to the contractors or stop it temporarily to make it look like they are not feeding them work and then let you go right.....all they have to prove is work is going in-house.

For all we know Di-key Goei or Fagash wrote this thread to get guys to quit. Union shops aren’t worried bout contractors cause according to our contract, they must be laid off before in-house techs are laid off. Different story for non union shops and those shops have no one to blame but themselves. Good Luck!

here's my issue with this site. I get we are all anonymous but there are so many depots people could have come from, this literally means nothing to some of us. I mean there are alot of people that need help but he-l I can tell you three people that left in the last two years....5 years, 10 years. Vision Pro sold? what the heck is IGA?
I know him as well He helped a lot of guys out. I know he got guys into different locals, post office, and 2 into the county. Listen to this post This is a not a joke nor is in meant for fear 😧. This is reality. His family came from the top/ he was my lead and a great mentor. Biggest mistake letting him go out the door!
I personally know this guy Extremely powerful in the county. Definitely listen to him!! I know for a fact he knows what he is talking about, not only with news12 but saved a few guys with better jobs. Don’t cut yourself short. It’s coming to a close really fast 😢, take his words for what it’s worth DONT be the guy who can’t pay his mortgage. 3 guys making over 100,000 left and this guy helped all 3 . 1 OSP, 1 Fiber tech. 1 Field service.
