Ultium Cells cuts 1,300 jobs at Lordstown plant

General Motors has also paused operations at other facilities, including a temporary layoff of 700 workers at its Spring Hill, Tennessee, battery plant. The Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Center, also known as Factory Zero, is scheduled to reopen today on a single shift following its own staffing reductions.

The GM salute is still alive and well. [Points finger at others to deflect responsibility]

It's ironic that the Propulsion Systems HQ named a massive conference room after a statistical process control guru, forced everyone to take six sigma classes, and still sold a b-m engine for years. There were all kinds of reports online of people's engines failing.

Don't take it personal at all. Just find some new work to feed ur fams. The Mexican crankshaft debacle, the Alison issues and the electrical problems are going to claim a lot of innocents. Reputation is everything in the auto industry.
