If the economy turns around, do you anticipate any Boeing Layoffs 2021? Any news or rumors?

Boeing will not lay-off this year. Recovery is under way. We are staying at around 140k employees. Stop spreading lies and get back to work.

Make a manufacturing plant in Mexico and have cheap labor. Crestview Aerospace can confirm how successful that move was. It got all the people involved in the start up terminated. We are fuckedlikechuck
I pooed a little reading this thread.
@6jgn+184KB3Ln, disparity? I'd try looking that word up before you use it.
As for your premise of people ripping on the OP...well, because the OP is an id–t.
I could send you to this post
@lir+184KB3Ln but you would not read it.
So I will state itnin another way. There are no RUMORS about layoffs, only FACTS. Why are they FACTS and not RUMORS? Well that is because it was ANNOUNCED TO THE PUBLIC that Boeing will be down to 130,000 employees by the end of 2021. Therefore, to get to that level, Boeing will have to lay off about 12,000 people over the next 12 months.
And most importantly, this thread was started AFTER that annocement was made at the 3rd quarter earnings call.
So this is a stupid thread.
The company has white tail 737 airplanes with no customer. They will have to stop production. I can’t continue to build airplanes without a customer.
My prediction is they moved the 737 to Everett while they have this downtime and they sell the renton to developers to build condos
Not sure why the disparity towards the OP, it's a valid concern and factoring in so many contributors such as a potential new administration, lingering covid, and the 787 relocation announcement.
Anyways with that said sadly one can anticipate staffing reductions, likely heavier in wa state. In my opinion cuts will be global, with Charleston receiving the lightest impact due to the relocation and additional increase in statement of work.
Good luck.
Doesn't matter if the economy turns around or not, there will be blood at Raytheon.
Oh wait didn't you also post this in that forum too?
Anyway you should have. Its going to be brutal.
Let’s keep it simple — YES!!!!!!!!!!
How many Boeing employees does it take to cook a turkey? Just one, but 10 will show up/ 8 will stand around on their phones and 2 will b–ch about it. Happy Thanksgiving!
Don't see it happening anytime soon.

This is why i no longer eat fast food, we got guys like this working the fryer at KFC.
I bet he drools too. Good thing he builds airplanes now.
The OP must be one of THOSE people who thought after the elections Covid goes away and the whole world revolves around US elections. Think for yourself
It makes my head hurt that the OP wears the same badge as I do. Its sad the Union goes by seniority and not intelligence.
It is PUBLIC knowledge. As in they annouced it in the third quarter results and it has been covered by papers in every state and in many other countries that Boeing plans to get to 130k employment buy the end of 2021.
Since you can't read papers, red websites, or listen to news, I'm going to assume you are math challenged as well.
Boeing has maybe 143,000 worldwide employees. That means in the next 13 months 13k people will be laid off. 12 of those months are in 2021.
I can't believe you work on airplanes, I can see why we have issues.
If the lord came down from heaven and turned the earth into paradise Boeing is still going to lay your 䊚 off. I see you going back to work at the kfc frier soon.
Obviously intelligence is not a requirement for being a Boeing employee.
