To the poster below: Yes, in Worklife, homepage on right side. It's nothing special, like the comments below say.... they're too broke to make anyone an offer they can't refuse. IVLO next....
Did the VLO info come out today as mentioned? I haven’t seen anything yet.
The offer is exactly why I’m not taking it.
Those expecting more or better, obviously haven’t been around long.
Good luck to those who chose to go for it.
That's exactly what it is, nothing more. When it plays out like it will, it'll be crickets from the brainwashed union supporters.
Let's be clear. It's not about actually giving people the incentive to leave, it's about the appearance that they are.
I agree, it's not a good offer for non-union and for union folks, it's been in the contract all along, the offer should not be a surprise.
Yes, you are right, they could offer more than what is in the contract, but they are broke so I don't know what you were expecting.
Since it does s—, all you flat bill, sweatpants wearing folks won't need to worry about masks at work. You are out. Enjoy the real world.
Offer is pretty much the same as always. They had to make us wait in suspense for this meager offer. Who do they think is going to take it? Not many!!
Absolute joke of an offer, but hey, it looks good in the media.
New sequence of dates for the events above:
4/20 info, 4/27 invite, 5/14 notify, 6/5 last day
Just a confirmation:
The person who posted:
Next communication on 4/20. Invitations the following week, 4/29. Notifications 5/28. Last day 6/26.
Is correct.
Hopefully your managers are on the ball and discuss the FAQs with you as is expected of them.
If it was VLA then I’d do it....volunteer to lay around. I’m good at that
You vote down this post @4hbb+14tcj40Y
But you are going to get a glossy propaganda mailing from Boeing. If you don't have it today, you will have it tomorrow. It is titled "Stay Connected, Stay Safe". For some reason I opened this one rather than just pitch it.
The last two sentences under the "Stay Connected", "Know your worklife password" talk about VLOs and the when info will be distributed (see dates below) and the fact that they will be distributed through worklife.
They don't just print these glossy mailings overnight. They had that information last week and did not think it was important enough to tell us. That's just chicken sh–.
The least they could do to be "transparent" would be to have our managers tell us.
What a buck of c-ap. I hope I get a VLO, this place has no class.
You should have something in the mail today. Communications for the VLO will come on the following dates through Worklife
4/20, 4/29, 5/28.
Not sure why they sent a high gloss mailer out when managers could have told us this last week.
4/29 was the date I was given for VLO as well
4/29 invitation date could be start of 60 day WARN window.
WARNs are 60 day notices
Next communication on 4/20. Invitations the following week, 4/29. Notifications 5/28. Last day 6/26.
4/20 will be the start of VLO notices

I disagree I think next week is a good prediction. If not next week then itll be the week after for sure
At this point, it's not a matter of if layoffs are coming its a matter of when and how many. Boeing is considering taking aid, they haven't yet but they're meeting the criteria incase they decide to. This is why the CEO stopped taking a salary and quit with the stock buybacks. The amount of money Boeing's eligible for, and the amount of people they can lay off before they are ineligible for that amount of money is all being worked out right now.
Boeing needs to trim the fat. Its not the employees fault obviously. But with demand so low for commercial aircraft, and the poor performance over the last year they can't afford to keep everyone on
Im taking the VLO. I hope everyone that wants to stay gets to
I say we start calling these weasels out who dont work for Boeing but come here spreading useless information.
If its like last time, VLO's will be restricted to level 3 and above in certain skill codes. Mostly level 4 's will take it
@mtc+14tcj40Y the OP means that he does not work for Boeing and has never been a part of a union in his life.
He is a wannabe, speculation and trying to start sh–.
That is the translation of what he is trying to say.
I’m assuming you mean which job codes will be allowed to accept the VLO? Benefits of all VLOs are contractual and have already been provided by the union
