Submitted mine last Friday, but my manager (whom I think would like nothing more than to eliminate my position) said she can't promise me I will get it.

@uie, the short answer is it depends on your skill set and risk tolerance. I'm the interview process at a couple of places still actively hiring. Unfortunately, I had just started the process a few (business) days before they announced the SVS. A few more weeks might have (selfishly) netted me another 3 months of pay on my way out the door.

I wish they would give another two weeks or so to try to find something else. Such a short decision window means it is most likely for those close to retirement or those who just started
