Submitted mine last Friday, but my manager (whom I think would like nothing more than to eliminate my position) said she can't promise me I will get it.

@uie, the short answer is it depends on your skill set and risk tolerance. I'm the interview process at a couple of places still actively hiring. Unfortunately, I had just started the process a few (business) days before they announced the SVS. A few more weeks might have (selfishly) netted me another 3 months of pay on my way out the door.
You really think you are going to find something else in these days? And that they would give you time to find something before giving you a severance?!?
I wish they would give another two weeks or so to try to find something else. Such a short decision window means it is most likely for those close to retirement or those who just started
Does anyone have any idea when the offshore hourly layoffs will start?
