It's becoming tiring to only get bad news about results, layoffs, and anything else WD related. I can't be the only one who feels this way and is considering leaving this place as soon as possible.

Gotta love getting a new fancy title with a 3% raise attached. At least I can go shopping now with my new title. This is extremely disappointing to see within Western Digital... titles seem to have little to no bearing on compensation at this legacy tu-d...
count the layoffs since sand disk was acquired, add up the skipped STIs and ACRs, one nearly a year of unmatched 401K, so the good news is a having a paycheck

Be patient. A new day is dawning for those who are contributing.
FAANG are always hiring, nobody stops anyone from applying. I did but I'm not good enough for a half mil compensation, so I take my $250k a year and count my blessings. You guys should try that too. It's more satisfying than ranting.
Each paycheck is good news.

I bailed. The company is full of bottom feeders, low talent technical people, process knowledge left, maintenance teams failing, production teams can't find their head from their a-s. We have technologists that don't know how to SSH into Linux OS... So many high paid posers. IT is absolutely dead weight. The legal team is full of a-s hats. HR is useless. SSD can't make money. HDD is failing in conversion strategy. Middle managers are the worst... useless... hiring more id--ts. WD will continue to lose market share over time. Micron and Samsungs chips are better and cheaper. Perhaps WD should rebrand a couple more times so people forget the cr-p their making. Sad to see seagate stomping them to after leading for many years...

ELT are loving life at WD. Who cares about profits or products, when you can downsize and sell off the real estate? Live vicariously through their excess, or leave.
Seems like the news is pretty good at this point. You made it thru the downturn. Might as well enjoy the upcycle.
