Thread regarding CDK Global Inc. layoffs

Intern to full time conversion 2022

I interned at CDK in summer 2022. Any idea if CDK giving return offers this year?
Asking this due to recent layoffs in the company

The only thing I remember my favorite math professor teaching me is: whether you're rich or poor, it's nice to have money.

If you need an income and CDK offers you a job, take it. You're not marrying the company. Yes, it might be a crumby place to work but you can always get a better job later.

bcnf+1jRjUwNe Would think they'd know that was a joke for the offshoring happening. Honestly would say look elsewhere still from mismanagement and honestly comedic stupidity. Think a barrel of monkeys can run the company better and least they can keep morale up. If need a job though and cdk offers say go for it to least know are getting a paycheck till the ax men come to fire and higher cheaper, or higher a new executive for the fun of it.

Sorry to say but many disgruntled people here are telling interns not to join CDK. I think interns in this climate have to get an offer ASAP. CDK is not a bad place as I have seen worse places in my experience. Also, interns do not have to go to Hyderabad if they interned here in the USA. This is plain BS and fearmongering!!! Trust your instincts.

@5qbm+1jRjUwNe I interned in one of the P&T teams. My manager tried to extend my internship for fall as well, but request was denied due to budget issues.
Any idea if P&T giving return offers?
I agree with other replies, but I am graduating in May 2023 and current economic conditions does not look good for job opportunities (especially new grad).

Agree with @2opj+1jRjUwNe .

If you interned outside of P&T, you will likely not get a conversion unless you brown-nose the right director in the right way. Otherwise you will have to move to Hyderabad to get a job with CDK.

My advise is to look elsewhere, you dont want to start off your professional career at this corrput and disfunctional company. I would look elsewhere and dont look back. You will be better off, trust this message.

No harm in reaching out to your hiring manager and asking. I mentored a team for hackathon but there were some hiring freezes. I can still go ahead and put in a case for an intern who did very well.

I don't recall the specifics, but "they" did talk about continuing programs such as the internship program and the women returning to the workplace, which I don't recall the name of. That being said, I would also agree to look elsewhere unless you are desperate for a job.

Depends on what interned for probably. Engineering and support probbaly is getting moved to India but rest of business will probably be us. Honestly would say look elsewhere place isn't worth the stress.
