I have heard that there will be more reductions made. Our team has been asked to detail every SOP and now contractors are replacing team members on large scale project meetings. Everyone under Mosher is at risk. There is a lot of slack in that area with customer relational positions no longer necessary. Have others heard similar?

What kind of a job has SOPs and has not already been automated? I would be looking for ways to do that work without hiring anyone new.. That's the only real way to save any money. We all know what happens when you replace someone with either a contractor who has zero loyalty or offshore who is just using the corp to get a better job that pays more once they have experience.
@5mzu+1p6g2WgE They are definitely coming! They are waiting for surveys to pass!
So… no layoffs this week?
I have been asked to do this cr-p for the last 2yrs, documenting myself out of a job. Like I couldn’t figure out they would give the procedure to warm bodies in India to take over my responsibilities. The sheer stupidity of Optum mgmt to believe a person with 2-3yrs experience could do what I do, as well as I can, with my over 20yrs experience. Well I have gotten my satisfaction from omitting certain steps that an experienced engineer would know is needed but a junior following a cookbook would trip over, yeah we can all only take so much disrespect!
Yes along the same lines as what I heard as well. The leaders are in process of gather SOPs to provide to the contractors that will be replacing the FTE roles. Many leaders have been well aware of this plan for the past 3 months so if there is an urgent meeting placed on your calendar after the town hall it shouldn’t be a surprise. Lots of “tech” labeled people who don’t even know what SQL or other systems making 6 figures and secretly working other jobs!
I have heard layoffs this week across Optum/UHG and this will be the last round of the year. They will start up again Q1 2024.
