Thread regarding Oracle Corp. layoffs

Anyone in Support getting a raise?

SM's all hands call today mentioned lots of compensation increases to be dolled out either already or shortly. Anyone in Support heard anything about this and/or seen any sort of raise communicated to you?

My leadership team in AppsUL is inept AF, so I wouldn't put it past them to fail to notice that we'd been approved for across the board raises.

I'm probably closer to $21,000 poorer than I was 10 years ago. Many have their reasons for staying, my reason is family related and having to be in close proximity to a particular family member who is basically an adult child. There was some flexibility with this in support as far remote work etc.
Sorry I can't reinvent myself every few years and just "move on" like everyone says, some of us have bigger problems than basing their entire existence on career. It's people like this who they really stick it to salarywise.

I currently make 13,000 less than my inflation adjusted number for my time here (greater than 10 years)

The raises people think they get are actually in reality inflation adjusters

The top rated message in this thread just nailed it completely, almost every word. Kudos! (hopefully the word does not make you cringe).

My only exception is that getting any severance is nice, especially if it were 26 weeks. Also, even if RSUs are table scraps, it is still better than eating directly out of the garbage.

" “ No one in my Support group got a raise. Not even my manager. Budget was kicked back and revised. Director took all the funds for themself. Way to go for motivating the team!”

What LOB are you in? Guessing AppsUL?"

...that's a pretty good guess based on my experience in AppsUL. I haven't heard of a single person in AppsUL getting a raise yet. Would love to hear about it if someone actually did.

VP and managers get both raises and RSU’s

If we got the raise it should be showing on our main Fusion profile today then?
Example:
Personal Details > My Compensation
I believe that would have changed already?

"Is this coming from direct knowledge (i.e. you are one of the front line managers)"

Yes, direct knowledge. Thanks HR for the suggestion, but I will not be helping to identify myself.

If you have not been given direct knowledge yourself, go ask your frontline secretary, oops.....manager.

"I can confirm that managers have been directed to call all their reports, including those not getting anything. Especially those not getting anything.

As commented earlier, we all know why, they want to make you rage quit."

Good info and advice in your post. Is this coming from direct knowledge (i.e. you are one of the front line managers), or is this just theoretical? I agree that front line management isn't deserving of much blame here.

I can confirm that managers have been directed to call all their reports, including those not getting anything. Especially those not getting anything.

As commented earlier, we all know why, they want to make you rage quit.

Do not fall for it!

Don't blame our managers though, they have no real input, they are all just glorified secretaries for MS, MS, MG, and their chosen sycophants.

Do not leave Oracle without a package, keep doing 2 hours of work and get paid for 8, get a remote side hustle if you want. Keep it up until you get your severance package, even if it is just the pathetic 26 weeks we get in the US.

Just keep doing your real job well, resolving customer issues as they arise. Do the absolute bare minimum on all the useless initiatives that are not even your job. Employers have to offer you a new position to make you do fundamentally different work and offer incentives for you to take any new position offered.

Any MS, MS, or MG A$$ kissers can put their comments where sun don't shine and the same goes for any Ex Oracle people with a massive chip on their shoulders. Ex Oracle people would not even read this site if they had truly moved on in a new job with more pay and better everything. The insults veiled as friendly advice fool nobody.

Stay at Oracle, in Support, as long as it suites you and take Oracle for everything you can. They are doing it to you.

Finally, RSUs are table scraps, not even good enough for MS's, MS's, and MG's obedient dogs.

"Have you checked with your management or is just an assumption, because you have not heard anything from up above?"

My management proactively reached out to me to give me the great news. Was a funny conversation, and I wasn't surprised. I pretty much told that clown to eff off, and reminded of the consequences of not rewarding your workers. These managers are spineless, they don't advocate for their people, and they deserve the RIF they will be receiving once they no longer have anyone left to mismanage. Which at the going rate will be very soon. I'm now down 20% in actual value of the compensation I receive from this fuggtarded situation vs. the value of it 5 years ago, so my effort and contribution will be in alignment with that moving forward. A$$clowns.

"Can confirm nothing for me. AppsUL Support area. Consistent good marks on annual reviews for 5 years now with no raise. Pretty sure the strategy from AppsUL leadership is to try to get everyone to self depart. Scratching my head as to why I haven't already done so. I must be insane.

Anyone in AppsUL get a raise this time around?"

If you believe ANYTHING that management at Oracle says, especially when it comes to salary, bonuses, stock, raises, or benefits, you are more of a su---r than one could ever imagine. NEVER believe anything that Oracle management says, becuase it is usually only a grain of the real truth.
