Just like any other company that closed in past. GF is on the same trajectory. It is short of strategy clearly. Next is it remaining people. It is really waiting to happen. As soon as those newer employees with 2-5 experience, start leaving the company, that will be the start of unavoidable impending crash. Just watch the trend.

The SLT sets the strategy, the mid/lower-level managers execute on the strategy given to them. The SLT has set a strategy that the only thing differentiated is SiPh and everything else GF is a bottom feeder battling for wafer starts with UMC/Tower-Jazz/SMIC, etc .... (zero differentiation). As for the working environment, the lower levels play a role there in how toxic things are. The real problem for GF is two-fold, the ship is sinking because of strategy set by the monkeys who are part of the SLT and then the culture/environment is set by mid/lower-level managers. What a mess it is inside GF now!!!!!!
The middle managers and first-line managers are just a bunch of brown-nosers who can't find jobs anywhere else because they're not competent enough. They thrive in this toxic environment.
The problem is most definitely the lower levels. Everyone likes to blame SLT and higher levels. But it’s the lower levels who we interact with every single day. They set the tone. They create the actual work environment. Yes they follow the over arching directives handed to them, but they are the ones creating and fostering the toxic work environment not the SLT and directors. They need to be held accountable.
It is true Glint Survey does impact managers but only lower-level ones, if first lines have bad scores they can be put on perf management and if it doesn't improve then removed from management. However, for director level and above, the Glint Surveys are never held against these levels. Basically, GF wants to blame first lines for anything bad and the SLT down to directors blame the lower levels to cover their butts. The problem in general isn't at the lower levels but start at the SLT and many of the senior directors or directors, clean house there and then see how the surveys look.
While it is true that in a well-functioning company, the statement "Management and leadership’s performance is tied with GLINT surveys" holds water, the reality at GF is quite different. The management and leadership teams here are well aware that a majority of employees do not feel a sense of belonging to GF. I vividly recall multiple town hall meetings where Richard Tr shared that over 90% of his staff did not feel a sense of belonging, yet he was promoted to SVP. This is GF, the laughing stock of the tech industry with a zero track record of success. They simply do not care. If they did, all the SVPs and VPs would have resigned by now, knowing they wouldn't find similar positions elsewhere. Take Richard, for instance – at best, he could be a junior-level manager, not an SVP.

Stock prices stagnate, and salary increases lag behind inflation. This frustration has been repeatedly highlighted through GLINT surveys, but HR and executive leadership seem unresponsive. If this continues, the company belongs to Garbage can, where it names also is : Garbage/Liar-Foundries
The problem isn't about citizens or non-citizens; it's about the toxic culture. Groups of incompetent managers are in charge, and all the benefits go to cult and gang-like teams, leaving those at the bottom of the food chain to always pay the price. With the industry booming and inflation high, people feel they're losing out. Stocks don't rise, raises can't keep up with inflation. This frustration spans all levels, and HR and executive leadership don't seem to care. Eventually, the entire company will pay the hefty price of becoming irrelevant in the industry, leading to a significant crash soon. No other design house cares about 22FDX-[a-z] or 12LPPPPPPPPPPPPlus or all fake and phony imature silicon photonics and RF technlogies.
@3sno is clearly a person who consistently blames others for their own shortcomings. I am surrounded by so many entitled lazy white Americans in the fab I am working at. If this was my company, I would have fired the majority of those people.

There are plenty of American citizens stuck at Global who are being a used an abused as well. Many of them think they can't do better but eventually they discover there is a good life outside of GF.
There is a reason as well they hire so many immigrants and different colored folks with visas. They try to shuck that off like it is some great thing and so PC but the reality is they know these folks will stay at a job that is abusing them. It's fu--ing shameful.
