I hope you haven't forgotten Learnvest when you made that comment about talent. What a POS that company and app were. Not to mention the trash working there.
If they shut down NY, you’ll realize how sh---y the tech talent pool is that you’ll have to choose from. NY has 20x the amount of engineers MKE does (ignoring the caliber of talent which is so much higher it’s ridiculous).
It’ll be a quick turnaround for them to realize they are all of the sudden spending all their time and money resolving P0s and fielding pi---d off reps because nobody is able to manage and maintain the modern systems this “cesspool” has created and migrated for the legacy MKE team

Blaming SM for AA’s downfall is a bit much—let’s give the man some credit.
He’s got failing projects, a disastrous leadership team, and clashes with his new boss. He should be next to join UV and SR on his own merit.
SM is on track to become the next SR/UV.
AA’s downfall will be SM. Good to see TG is already on top of things with his new leadership team.
I heard from one of AA’s directs that he is not happy about reporting to DG.
He’s telling his team that DG is close to retirement and is just temporarily filling the role for max 1.5-2 years.
If that’s true I hope DG lets AA go before he retires.
So excited to go back to the office next week after a nice holiday break and hopefully never see CM again!! 2025 will be a year starting with some positive change for technology! We’ll see how the rest of things flush out but it will be certainly better without him around! Woohoo!!

@9aif+1w3kOeED - You are correct. They are “offshore hires” - Infosys employees who left NML for a couple to few years only to come back here as Senior Directors and Assistant Directors. They were all hired by KB, who DG fired but his faithful servants are still around.
have seen them taking a long walk thru every floor. if AD's are relaxing it indicates their SD's will be in a state of hibernation. anyway DG got pointer to save atleast 600k.
I have noticed a group of asst directors walking around franklin 2nd floor betwn 10-11 am. They just manage offshore in the morning call and then relax the whole day.

The thing though is people want NM to be successful, they want to advocate for a better working environment, there just needs to be some trash taken out. I'm hoping DG is noticing this and is going to start trimming, just as he did with SR.

Came to know google laid off 10% of its managerial staff which includes directors and VPs. NM always follows east & west coast comps. I'm afraid what would happen to our directors.

DG and AA don’t see eye to eye and have had major disagreements in front of their teams. AA has been bad mouthing DG and spreading rumors since he started . It will be interesting to see how long he’ll last.

@5evt+1w3kOeED - We have no testers in our unit. We are engineers working under the covers. We have product managers, and I have no clue what they do. I think they have no clue either. Their leader babbles words in English that no one else except her understands. I heard she brought down the nearby merchandising store and is planning to do the same here.

The testing department was ramped down or offshored three years ago. Do solo testers still exist? If so, what roles do they play in the team?

If DG maintains the momentum in addressing long-pending issues, JP and AG (AI) could be on their way out, and the bloat in ICS and IRC may be reduced.

i'm sure DG will move just as quickly as his COS who was going to relocate "just as soon as the school year ends." maybe once that happens he will figure out how to have a town hall that doesn't start with a good 10 min of AV issues and him 'taking advantage of flex time' and WFH on one of the 'mandatory' in office days due to his travel schedule.

Who is TJ?
Once DG moves to Wisconsin we should be able to shutdown the NYC office permanently. That has been money pit and a cesspool since 2017.
Hopefully the corrupt leader in TJ is the next to go.
