not getting vaxed ?

curious who else is not going to comply with the vax mandate...
i know of a handful of coworkers who are going for exemptions and won't comply regardless if they get approved or not.

UHG is not granting any religious exemptions and they make you get opinions from at least 4 doctors for a medical exemption and then don't grant them too.

It's not a choice when you are being bullied into taking a death jab!

Anyone refusing to vax because they live in TX? Anyone moving to a state that prohibits the vax mandate before Dec?

No truth to southwest airline story. Show evidence - union, airline, FAA all have said this false. Simply propaganda to help form a narrative to undermine the United States. Stop being 🐑.

With vaccines we can get to a COVID-19 cases to a relatively low and manageable level. Something similar to what we would normally see from flu, which causes an estimated 12,000-61,000 deaths per year in the US (compared to the 375,000 deaths caused by COVID-19 in the US in 2020, and around 295,000 more so far in 2021).

As individuals are not masking up and doing the things necessary to reduce the spread, mandates are necessary. Only way to get to a manageable level currently.

CDC Direction went on CNN and told that being vaccinated will not stop the transmission. So how is that providing “safe work environment”. This is just getting ridiculous.

I am not anti vaxxer. But I am anti mandate.

Couple of the vaccinated people told they will stand with me because they were admitted to ER with severe Covid symptoms and they regret taking it. They did not submit their vaccine status. How do we find each other in the group? Can’t post this on yammer. We need to stand together and I am willing to.

Make them fire you. Look at southwest airlines. People are fighting back. There are so many jobs out there it is a good time to make a move and get out of uhg.

I am employed by Optum Rx and I am not going to comply. I have asked for a religious exemption but doubtful it will be approved. I was also told if approved it’s temporary and still don’t get to keep my current role. In addition to this the company is also doing reduction in force. This was verified by my director and is not here say. There has to be something we can do

Nobody has taken away your choice - choices have consequences. I pay more for healthcare based on my BMI because I don’t qualify for discounts. Is BMI a good indicator for health - no. I’m in better shape than most, but my body type doesn’t lend well to the test. My consequence. Not getting a vaccine will have consequences too.

You are confusing a safe work environment with health. The debate is really about individual freedom vs the common good. What rights and privileges do individuals surrender for the common good? How should individuals balance their rights against their responsibilities and ensure that their choices and actions do not impose risks on other members of society or their own family members? Companies need to provide safe working environments, the common good beats out individual rights in this instance.

Plenty of peered review links here…

Vaccines save lives? That’s why someone on this thread supports mandates? You know what else saves lives? Health. Look at the markers for poor outcome - obesity and related disease. Look at the majority of the healthcare burden - obesity and related disease. Talk about death. Why haven’t insurers been pushing health like the vaccine? Because health doesn’t make anyone money.

People who don’t believe in health and personal responsibility shouldn’t be working here. People who don’t believe in science and natural immunity need to take a refresher. Turn the TV off and go read peer reviewed scientific publications. It doesn’t matter if you want the V or not - what matters is that it remains a CHOICE.

Just curious if you’ve actually had your antibodies level tested after having COVID? I think there may be a case to be made there but you’d have to demonstrate that you actually have immunity at a level similar to the vaccines and I don’t believe that testing is available yet?

And this data is interesting:

I have been a full time telecommuter for 10 years. Never entered an office or met with anyone ever. The dept I am in under Optum is mandatory vax for all telecommuters. I’m heartbroken they will not carve out telecommuters like UHG has. My vaccination status has absolutely no bearing on the work I deliver and will continue to deliver, since vaccinated or not I can still get it. Not to mention I had Covid and my antibodies are higher than those with the vaccine.

This organization sure changed its tune from a couple of months ago when a vax was “a private and personal choice” to the threats and bullying they are spewing now.

you can believe in the efficacy of vaccines without wanting to be forced to take this "vaccine", that doesn't prevent getting sick or spreading it to others.

Please go work someplace else! If you don’t believe in the efficacy of vaccines you have no business being in healthcare. Vaccines save lives!

Go work for a company that tolerates employees who buy into misinformation coming from Russian bot farms!

I submitted my religious exemption last night and am looking for jobs right now just in case it doesn’t get approved. I have worked from home since the pandemic with occasionally going into the office for printing and mail. However it all can be done from home if I switch to full-time telecommute. My attorney said that strength in numbers important. It would cost them millions to replace employees. And how will they even find that many who are willing to compromise their beliefs? I think once they realize the amount of people standing their ground…they may lessen the unconstitutional requirements. Stay strong everyone. We are in this together.
