@677 sounds like a lazy product of DD. A couple years ago they had two incredible leaders and an a-s kisser. It’s hard to find good leaders and when you promote based on knowledge and not leadership, well you see what happens. All the good ones are gone.

@626 P from the SLT in Furniture has to be one of the worst upper managers I've ever come across. P only seems to engage with favorites while treating everyone else poorly. Messages and requests often go unanswered unless you're part of the inner circle. One of the managers P placed in a leadership role micromanages employees constantly, except for those who are part of the clique.
The environment has become extremely toxic. P also appears to make every effort to push people off the team who aren't favorites, whether through layoffs or termination. Many of the people who have been let go were hardworking, dedicated employees. I've seen it happen multiple times, and it's discouraging to watch good people lose their jobs simply because they aren't part of the favored group.
I'm not sure how P moved up the ranks so quickly, but I hope leadership eventually recognizes what's been happening. The previous leaders treated people fairly, valued their employees, and never played favorites. They set a much better example of what leadership should look like.

@626 Yep, I totally agree. We lose far more bids than we ever win. Customers have also lost a lot of trust in us because of the constant reorganizations and leadership moving people around after we've spent years building strong relationships. Then, when new management comes in, they often provide little support and instead focus on excessive micromanagement. To make matters worse, many of them don't seem to understand the business, and there's a lot of favoritism. Wish we still had the old leaders, miss them!!
@618 Entire furniture team is awful. I lose deal after deal due to lack of response or not being priced competitively. It is so frustrating having customer after customer ask if you still plan to bid after everyone else has submitted theirs days earlier. They keep the door open due to my relationship and are then flabbergasted when we have the high bid by a wide margin. Few deals I have won all go sideways with furniture AM making excuses and deflecting blame for their mistakes. Needless to say, we never get a second chance with these customers. Pre Sycamore furniture operation was awesome. We are now left with the worst of the worst.
The SLT in Furniture is the worst....used to have amazing leaders....now a bunch of micromanagers....I'm sure there will be more layoffs in this department even if you are doing amazing....never know when it will be your time to go. Lol
And they just promoted one of the managers they were all running from. I hate it here.

We hired a dei kid with very little leadership experience over qualified leaders. Of course it’s gonna happen. The other guy job hops every 2 years. Brilliant!
