Thread regarding Ford layoffs

How much of a raise would you like to have?

What's your percentage, what's your number?

@4ztf nailed it. The people who got higher % in group were either friends of mgmt or those who could easily pick up and leave. If you aren’t happy with your compensation, stop being a patsy, dust off your resume and start applying for jobs. The job market is hot, the school year is nearly over, strike while the iron is hot. If you wait until there is a glut of laid off workers looking for a job then you might be forced into a most undesirable situation. Ford is not going to truly change, Ford is all about the illusion of change and carrot dangling, so if you don’t like how you are valued, leave while you can. If you choose to gamble and stick it out until you can retire from Ford, then remember you chose your lot in life and happily accept your declining compensation.

A 2.5% average of merit increase this year is insulting. The inflation rate is at 8%, and Ford employees from GSR to LL6 are getting 2.5% pay increase. No wonder so many GSR are leaving the company.

If you truly have a HTHD skillset, why would you stick around with a 3% raise? You are either not that valuable or not a threat to leave.

Amazing - maybe Ford should raise the price of their products 20% to cover the wages (and related bonus/expenses such as social security, unemployment, etc.) some of you think you are worth.

Apparently, basic (very basic) business common sense just doesn't exist anymore - just plain incompetence and greed at all levels of this company. I'm sure the customer will pay more for the pathetic quality of products sold by Ford (that is sarcasm for the people who think they are worth 15% more, because I don't think you could figure that out if I didn't tell you!)

Instead of just being 50% unintelligent - why not think you are worth 50% more and go for the full 100% unintelligent?

HTHD is nothing but complete fraud.

I talked to many of those who are categorized as HTHD employee. These HTHD employees are quite frustrated at this fraudulent practice of ford management.

Having been told I was in the *High Tech, * High Demand program i'd like to see a percentage increase that maintained my relative position in shifted pay band. I'd even be OK if I was merely placed at the mid-point of the range. But nope, what happened at "merits" time.... a great, big, huge, whopping 2.8% which we all know was effectively a pay-cut with the fine levels of inflation which proven to not be transient.

Feels a bit abusive to be told that I should be better compensated in my role, but then given a sm--k down that my compensation won't even keep pace with the increasing cost of living.

I bust my rear in 2021 and received a 3% raise which was referred to by my LL6 as "pretty good". In all honestly for what I do and how I perform 15% would make me feel fairly compensated. I'm in a fairly unique position with a skillset that's very much in demand by the newer EV companies. I enjoy my job but I'm tired of feeling "placated" by the company.

13-15% would have me realigned to an appropriate level.

Honestly it isn't about money for me at this point. I want Jim to resign. I want Bill to retire. I went a real CEO brought in, real leadership skills. Calling Alan Mulally!

Oh, and take away the Ford family's preferred shares and get back to a real shareholder's ownership pattern.

Ford sucks. Money is a bandaid. This suck is systemic. It needs to be burned down and rebuilt from the ground up.

I'd be happy with $10K more. That'd be about 10%.
