Not feeling so optimistic after listening to that. What are your thoughts on it?

“If you have any respect for yourself, you would of left a long time ago for something better” - Ancient Chinese proverb
Nick is nothing but a "Minnie Me" relative to ex-T-Mobile CEO, John Legere.
At least this guy is straight with us and calls things as he sees them. I’d rather that than the corporate BS we used to get. Let’s give the guy some support, from where I sit I see us transforming at an incredible rate. I recall previous leadership who couldn’t lead a horse to water….And that was after Maggie……
D'oh!!!!!!
Days of the copper guys were numbered after the cell phone became affordable. It was slow death. Guys who had enough time but didn't act in 2020 or have low seniority are screwed.
Is this before or after lunch? I'm surprised they're this slow, 2 NA "2termed and tagged to mope/demarc". Done by 12!
All in preparation for a sale. T-Mobile sending smoke signals on how they want FTR packaged. I told most of you new hires, you’re spinning your wheels. Go to a city job or UPS where they still have pension. And as for copper guys, your days are numbered, the company has taken note that you guys are done by 1pm daily.
FTR is a government funded sham.
I'd chill a bit guys. All he said was that costs are top high (he's been saying that for three years) and that some parts will be cut back, others expanded. There's no new news here. And the company is getting stronger every day. So chill ya'll beans.
What were the specifics of the call?
Layoffs more than the 1500 that were mentioned in a call last spring?
Any particular depts or areas of the country?
Wondering if any movements now are intended to prepare the company for a sale, make it more attractive to a buyer. Remember before VZ sold to FTR: benefits cut, buildings spruced up, and of course, bodies cut.
Not a great call to hear. Layoffs expected, exercising all options to benefit the partners.
Anyone who was optimistic after that call is nuts…..
