@1uuz+1kFVpizh it seems a proper effort to avoid more layoffs and give someone thinking of retirement an choice; drop the loyalty thing bc you get paid to do your work, so do it an be grateful bc 10,000 MSFT and 10,000 AMZM folks are looking for work

Some are getting emails about retirement today but I have not. I’m over 55 and almost 20 years at company. Is the package better that being laid off?

Probably a lot more will be let go once the merger announcement is made. This is standard operating procedure for mergers this big where there is a lot of product overlap. The private equity company that owns Kioxia will call the shots and demand some house cleaning.

Yep next week packages will be offered. Criteria is 15 years of service and 55 years old. Trying to shed their most experienced loyal workers. What could possibly go wrong?
