I don’t like the negativity towards the EC. They all have families too and are doing their job to provide.

LMAO! Yah you’re right they’re great people choosing to layoff high performers first. Unemployment is now over for the folks laid off in Nov, severance is gone, many have applied for 200+ jobs, some are loosing their homes. Why? Because they were great loyal employees. No most weren’t slackers.
@5whd+1tURyw7W it is often a couple of those along with a a few others. All institutional. No individual is going to vote and make a difference not even Chuck
@4zbk+1tURyw7W Have you ever looked at the top ten shareholders of SCHW or any other large corporation? Just search the internet and prepare to be d-mbfounded
"Individuals not only lack a say; their mutual fund purchases insure they never shall. "
I guess I do not understand why all these complainers do not do something to change a situation they are unhappy with?
Move to another company, or start your own.
Whining here, is pretty childish. It is also weak and spineless.
But the world is full of weak and spineless people, who blame others for their failures!
Walt, quit crying on this site.
If you are a shareholder, use your right to vote!
Tell us you’re clueless without telling us.
SCHW is 80% institutional and 5% Chuck. Individuals not only lack a say; their mutual fund purchases insure they never shall.
SCHW price from 07/11/2024 $76.08 to 08/09/2024 $62.41 with Walt's defending shrinking and flat earning as thinking shareholders were d_mb enough not to understand how schw running business?? Oh! yes read this...

....Bettinger paid $1.7 million on July 17 for 25,000 Schwab shares, an average price of $66.26 each. He now owns 827,380 shares in a personal account, according to a form he filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Bettinger owns another 10,210 shares through employee stock plans....
We need some explanation as shareholders as well, not just employees, both ex- and existing now....
To all the "employees" complaining about the EC. The shareholders decide if they think the company is well run or not. Not some random dude with no clue about how business works!
Leave the company if you do not like it!
If you are a shareholder, use your right to vote!
The EC has families - nice "ENTITLED" families
F the EC! What is wrong with you? The EC gave themselves a nice fat raise and bonus after they laid off thousands of people with families. I don’t think any of the EC members were reflecting on that as they drove to their weekend home or lake house.
Noone at the top cares about their families... They are just about themselves. That is how it works.
To the OP, haven’t you heard it is lonely at the top. They knew taking these roles would come with less positive recognition because everything they are supposed to be doing is supposed to be already great , they don’t get kudos for that because it is their job so you will hear the complaints when they fall short. Trust me they make plenty to support their families and lots to stash away for hard times. They are doing their jobs and some criticism may be unfair but this is part of being so visible and their job. It is a bit disheartening to see all the negativity but even with looming layoffs, shifts in policy, and closures - this company is by far better than any I have come from. Maybe I may be in the minority and have low expectations but I think Schwab is great. And even if I am a go, I will be thankful for them opening my eyes
we're just being "Schwab Nice".
It means passive aggressive
Was this posted by the EC or Board of Directors?
We're not negative, we're just being "Schwab Nice".
The EC are a bunch of clueless clowns that are controlling (poorly) the fate of this company and its employees. They lie, manipulate, and continually (and arrogantly) perform complete 180s on the employees of this company and, anyone who doesn't act like they have a short term memory issue and actually has the "non-team-player" gall to ask WHY are kicked to the curb as soon as it is convenient.
They affect our customers and our livelihoods. Yeah, we should give them a break. NOT. Those shitfu-ks are the ones that should be held accountable and kicked to the curb.
Cool story.
Taken further, you appear to suggest that no one should ever hold incompetence, malfeasance or bullying to account. That thousands of families should just su-k it up when they lose their home while the party responsible gets a million dollar bonus.
Even lying, simple straight-forward lying, would also be out for critique bounds. And they lied. They lied about RTO. They lied about TDA. They lied about interest rates. They lied about bonds.
You’re right. We shouldn’t express negativity.
We should express contempt.
