Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

California and Hawaii suing oil companies

To respect the states suing oil companies, all oil company products should not be made, sold, or imported into any state suing oil companies.

Continued use of oil products by those states is full admission that oil benefits outweigh the consequences.

Interesting that the states that hate Oil Companies sue them to obtain money instead of banning all oil products immediately.

Bo-m, they should commit today to zero oil.

Good luck building windmills and solar panels without oil.

@4xld You forgot to mention that most oil executives reside in blue states with strong environmental protections. In fact, they rarely have to deal personally with the consequences of the policies they lobby for.

People should think about that before picking a side on this issue.

It is hard to read and hear to the defenders of the faith working for their master, defending the oil. Meanwhile the shareholders are taking some vacation at certain high end resort around the world knowing that they do not have to do anything about it because they worms that worms that they are doing their jobs defending their oil.

Stop selling all oil and gas products to every state suing oil and gas companies.

I like for activist leaders to fly private jets to Greenhouse Gas Reduction Conferences that place mandatory limits on normal people and not elites, or China, or India.

I think it is wonderful that people are able to drive their cars to Just Stop Oil protests. It shows diversity of thought. Use oil to protest oil.

Let’s just hold every consumer that ever used hydrocarbon products just as liable as the suppliers.

Nobody forced consumers to use hydrocarbons.

Oil companies did not add nicotine or other addictive chemicals into the products to create an addiction.

All the people trying to destroy the oil industry through lawsuits should first stop all consumption of every product made possible by oil and gas. That includes Solar panels and wind mills made possible entirely by the oil industry.

If the suing id--ts have a medical emergency, send a horse drawn wagon with wooden wheels instead of an ICE powered ambulance with tires made with hydrocarbons.

This is similar to a group following the carnivore diet suing to make Vegan diets mandatory.

OP is a known HR plant. Posted some previous shrill about Vermont. Idgaf about Exxon getting sued we get sued all the time it’s part of doing business. I DO care about my job and the jobs of future generations being offshored. Pretty soon we’ll be making minimum wage and working 996. Now go back into TGs armpit where you came from.

It sounds like you think that since the companies provide fuel that means they should be allowed unlimited corruption and coverups.

Even if a company provides a needed and useful product, we should be able to hold them accountable for their actions.

Not protecting bosses, just defending the industry that is the foundation of modern lifestyle and enabled human average lifespan to increase by 30+ years.

Why do so many of you snap to the defense of the very oil executives that so many of you clearly resent?

You all want your slimy bosses held accountable, yet every time someone tries to do it, you come out swinging against them. This is why nothing ever gets better.

I really like Air Conditioning. Without oil and gas we could not have A/C.

California and Hawaii both use A/C.

Turn off their A/C until they admit oil and gas production is worth it.

Cost benefit analysis would indicate using hydrocarbons has been more beneficial than its impact.

I did not have to ride a horse to work today, chop firewood to cook with today, and I do not have to grow my own food such that I might starve if the weather trends badly this year.
