Gartner laid off over 20 employees in its Services & Delivery organization on May 7 2025. The majority of these employees were over 50 years old and many are people of color. This company has bad management practices including discrimination, pay inequity, harassment and retaliation against employees seeking improvement in those practices.

Gartner hates black people. This place is filled with white traitor trash dr-g addicts that do shady deals with the government, s-x addicts that sleep their way to the top, and straight up evil people that bait you into lying and getting blackmail.
Apologies to revive this thread after so long but upon my research, stumbled upon some information that correlated with the timeframe of the initial post and the department in question (GSD/Global Services & Delivery):

Low cost, no experience, selling to C-Level / VPs...
Meaning, low cost hires?
Hiring freeze in conferences - 100 reps being added in mse amg - seems like college churn & burn is back
So, what's the logic (and future) behind the CSM cuts?
Research affected (or will it be)?
From what I can gather, it seems the highest paid CSMs were the primary targets regardless of performance. Many who were laid off were top performers overachieving on every metric in the role. Everyone is scared and wondering who will be next.
Layoffs on May 14 in Gartner consulting. Not sure the number.
I was a CSM that was laid off. I was not apart of the public sector, I was doing great performance wise, had great feedback from my internal partners, was told I was doing great and on track for a promotion and I was completely blindsided by the layoff, as was my manager. I have been with the company for years so this was not a first in first out situation either.. almost feels random.
Wishing everyone who was laid off the best, as well as the people still employed who not only lost their friends but are now dealing with the stress of wondering if they’re next.
Nope, EPs are not all great and experienced (yada yada yada).
Because the majority of them were executive partners in Federal and Public sector where contracts have been slashed. EPs are the most expensive asset cost-wise, and by definition EPs are generally older as they are experienced former C-suite executives...
Was there another round of layoffs today?!
Lower salary in the future and lower / less experience (sometimes 0 IT). This is a fact in many teams.
"What kind of severance packages are they giving, if any?"
- They have to follow the country laws.
"With these layoffs I was also told hiring is frozen, so why are they posting jobs? To keep up appearances or to hire people at a lower salary?"
- Perception, same as someone posted before in terms of 3 things they do. I must say, they are not necessarily the only ones doing so. However, their advice to clients is directly in contradiction to what they do.

This is a blatant misrepresentation of what occured. Gartner handled this well and it affected, unfortunately, many folks...of all ages, genders and color. Businesses are forced to pivot when facing challenges and that is what occurred. Simple as that. Stop lying.
This is the second round of layoffs in the last 6 months. The company and management remain very hush hush about it all as to not attract attention from outsiders. Associates are shocked and still reeling as many lost friends and there were some questionable choices of who was given the boot. The company cracks are starting to show and associates are terrified more layoffs are coming.
Would you say:
- Took place two (2) days after the earnings call?
- In batches not to make news?
- Frequently announcing lower target #s to then "exceed them"?
Best wishes to the people that were let go.
Sales was also hit, including a woman on maternity leave. It is surprising how terrible Gartner handled this situation, especially considering that HR research is one of their areas of focus.
More coming all around.
I am a woman (not over 50) that was let go.
I'm related to women over 50 who was part of the layoff. She has contacted an attorney
Just Services & Delivery teams or also others?
No one said it was everyone. Wow. Take some time to read what was posted. How is it that on some teams, only minorities and people over protected age were laid off? Gartner has a history of discrimination and lower pay for people of color and women. A long history...ask any of the women who are there and who have left to share their experiences.
Not everyone who was laid off was older, a female or person of color. This information is incorrect.
This is not true!
People were fired, young people even. Color of skin and age has NOTHiNG to do with it.
It's true. The laid off many that were over protected age and on several teams, only people of color or women were laid off.
And for the person who said, "at least the got the right ones," you are a disgusting human being.
Just becasue you're annonymous does not you should lie. Yes, there were layoffs. however, the characterization of them as "the majority of these employees were over 50 years old and many are people of color" is entirely inaccurate. I cannot emphasize that enough - entirely inaccurate. I don't like that there were layoffs - there are far more humane ways to cut costs - but don't lie about it.
At least they got the right ones.
