Thread regarding Dell Inc. layoffs

I'm not seeing any cuts

What are some posters talking about? I know Dell is always layoffs-happy, but I haven't seen or heard of any layoffs in at least a month or more. Yet in several posts, people are talking about active layoffs. Where are these mysterious layoffs? How many are being affected? Can you provide any info other than the vague "layoffs are happening?"

@4vuh+1j9nFMad Stupid comment.Without sales what would the rest of the company do?And some sales members are way underpaid when compared to managment.

it sales...who cares. Overpaid employees that sell false promises to customers. Half of them deserved to be let go.

50 sales leaders were let go towards the end of September (some of them were executive level and many had been there 10 - 20 years).

It's going to get worse before it gets better. President is now saying slight recession ahead. Dell PC sales down 21% this quarter, People and companies are slashing spending right now. It's only a matter of time before we slash in larger numbers in order to survive. Stock price is tanking. Not good times.

About 4 weeks ago. There were groups requested to cut 6% of their budgets. They could do that any way they chose. People or discretionary spend.
