Regional Holiday Walks- Say hello?

Why not say hello to TMs? Maybe peek in the back rooms and say hello and thanks or happy holidays. Instead, they don' even acknowledge us.

We had a visit. 6 Regional folks standing no less than 10 feet away from me for 15 minutes. Finally walked past, one sort of acknowledged me, I introduced myself, shook her hand and all I got was the "face". No introduction, thank you, or hello. Shameful and unprofessional.

Of course those at the top will protect their own. But it's this idea of a corporation oweing you something that's insane. It's a corporation under a capitalist structure. There always has to be a lowest common denominator. Doesn't mean I like it. You take what you can. For me, in this case, it's compensation. I've worked my way up at this company to a living wage. If I were to apply to heb for the same position my hourly pay would decrease drastically. So free turkey for the holidays or making rent without having to worry every month? I'll take the latter.

SPOT ON, F8bmPoK-3dyx. Give people a decent Thanksgiving meal to thank them for their hard work, and cut the excessive compensation for the fake regional presidents, vice presidents and other unnecessary chieftains. If stores are in the red, that's THEIR fault anyway for being incompetent baboons who take up our oxygen.

That's a fair assessment F8bmPoK-2wgq, as long as the reins are also being pulled in regarding e-teams' and RPs' and RVPs' bonuses.

Oh wait, that will never happen. Did I just take a truckload full of drugs or is this company truly run into the ground by a bunch of psychopaths? (rhetorical question)

Then go work for heb/central market?

Am i upset about the layoffs? Yes. Do I wish they would funnel some big corporate money to our hourly wages? Yes. But providing something free when stores are in the red is a waste of money.

We received nothing at our store for Thanksgiving or Christmas. I don't really care about free meals, I just want to work for a place that has integrity. #wholefoodsmarket

I have friends that work for HEB/Central Market. All of their Partners received a free turkey for thanksgiving, a ham for christmas, and a $100 gift card to assemble their meals with. I work in the SW region and we didn't receive anything from #wholefoodsmarket. Not that any of us were expecting anything, but we only had a Thanksgiving meal that consisted of hotdogs, chips, and drinks... seriously? And for Christmas they heated up tamales from the Meat department, with rice and beans from pfds. Hard times for us #wfmteammembers.

There was no Christmas spirit in my store. We were told not to max out our cases due to the low foot traffic. From the high negative double digit comps, nowonder. We focused on limiting shrink and holiday preorders.

How can they say 'hello' if there are no employees there! Literally they are doing these 'dog and pony shows' to keep their jobs alive!

Management is way to important to take the time out of their busy day, and speak with a lowly employee. #wholefoodsmarket
