Thread regarding TransUnion layoffs

June Layoffs

Been hearing a lot from last week and it is confirmed that there will be layoffs in June. TU is planning to keep only 5% of workforce in the US and move everything to GCC.

All the re-org happening already with employees reporting previously to U.S managers will be reporting to Indian managers from next month!

Question - Will the layoffs be next month mid around?

Actually I don't see people are actually happy and smiling anymore especially with the ongoing work. They're just faking just by showcasing they're happy and making masterplans all from behind. So, DO NOT BELIEVE ANYONE HERE.

When asked if June layoffs are coming, few upper level management are saying it is not and another round would be only at the year end. COME ON! We all know the truth!

Some of the March 30th people have last employment dates in November. Not all are gone May 24 and into June.

These a--hats are not going to announce the next layoff plan in the Town Hall. Who attends Town Hall meetings anyway except those in Chicago who are forced to fill a room to watch Cartwright strut around? Is this meeting supposed to be a kumbaya for survivors of the massacres? Will they all shake hands and shout thank you for sparing us? I'd be a fool to attend or listen to anything this company says. TU leadership if full of sh-t. You know it, I know it and they absolutely know it.

There was a supplemental (to the initial notice from November) warn notice filed 3/20/2024 that mentions “Company laid off an additional 301 workers starting 5/24/24”- I read that as the individuals notified in March will be separated from the company in May (not an additional 301 to be laid off in May). At least that is how I am reconciling the past tense being associated with a future date.

TransUnion filed with the state of Illinois department of labor at the end on March that they intend to let go 301 associates starting 5/24/24. They are required to notify the state 60 days ahead of the action. They had filed with the state on 11/29/2023 for 339 employees to be laid off. This information is in the public domain

Would have been better for you to keep quiet if you’re not willing to share the teams

I do know the teams but unwilling to share, all will be told next week during town hall. Severance looks ok

@Notamoose - So you're saying there will be final Layoffs in Nov and not in June?

Post ID: @9qrx+1rWorqKF

In March's layoff they created essentially three waves. I was in the first wave so my last day was in March but I still get paid until May. People being let go in May will get paid through June. And the people who are let go in Nov, will just be done then:

  1. Let go Mar, last day May
  2. Let go May, last day June
  3. Let go Nov, last day is same

@4shz+1rWorqKF when you say product teams have experienced recruitment in India - do you mean product managers or product engineers?

@4bco+1rWorqKF It's not just Crapwright. It's the board, entire C-level, and HR. They all blow. J Martin is the devil of the IT area though. smug ba----d.

The UK has been prepared for a redundancy announcement scheduled for the end of April at the town hall.
The specific roles that will be affected are still uncertain, but it's probable that the product teams, which have already experienced significant recruitment from India, will be impacted. Oh, and the numerous layers of management. Not sure how they will cope without the Lithuanian workforce given they have all been given their marching orders.

@2pjg+1rWorqKF With Venkat's push to cloud first and OneDev backend stuff, it will be a nail in the coffin. From what I have seen the Neustar folks think they are God's gift to cloud, but they sure in the he-l didn't think about security at all or how to actually architect it. It's one big sh-t hole. They still want to operate like a private company.

They are cowards. No live questions. Call it a hunch but I’m guessing the real questions submitted were ignored. If I hear collaboration one more time I’ll scream. Nobody collaborates. Nobody will because there are 8 people in office and those that are there resent it.

Isn’t Cartwright’s reign of te---r supposed to be over soon? 5 years right? Unfortunately Venkat is waiting to drive the final stake through this once proud company’s heart.

@2qqh+1rWorqKF Transparency? lol.. nothing but smoke and mirrors. In the last GIO townhall, by the end of it you would think that whoever this j martin guy is, was actually a politician. Nothing but 2 faced pieces of sh-t.

May 31 is final day for many US based people. June 1 will look and feel like a major layoff with so many people gone. There’s a circus town hall on 4/30. Maybe there will be transparency from leadership if the butchering is completed.

I've lost track of what exactly is being confirmed: June, November, neither?

And around two massacres ago, senior officials like Managers, Directors and their VPs were supposedly not included in "the plan". Probably even less so if they were the ones getting whacked.

So I'll just keep giving it my all and going above and beyond
and worrying about exactly how all of this is more than likely to blow up sky high
until i die
from stupidity

For those of you fortunate enough to be part of our amazing transformation, would you mind wiping the blood off the walls? Don’t equate this to the double workload you’re getting, think of this as a fresh direction! Go team! Thanks a million! I mean, give me a million. Smiles!

I would be surprised if this is true. Their public SEC filings, the one place TU is likely to tell the truth, says there will be layoffs for the next two years but not at the headcount numbers of less than 5% still in the US
