Thread regarding Frontier Communications Corp. layoffs

Sh-t company

Thank God I don't work for this dump anymore. I now have a job, I'm happy at and don't have to deal with an old racist manager and a pathetic team lead. Do yourself a favor and get out! As with all Leo's, this bozo only knows how to cut staff.

You must have worked in West Virginia North Operations. Here ,allegedly, you only need to like everything outdoors, NO EDUCATION and you can then hire your own relatives in positions of power that may have less qualifications than others that applied. My friend had over 30yrs experience in this business and was allegedly overlooked. Is it nepotism or just making FTR great again? Perhaps an internal investigation by corporate would uncover some other unethical practices that have been allegedly covered up in this state by leadership in the state.

When you are in the middle bottom of the seniority list it is not wise to whistleblow cause when things get covered up the rest of your working days will be with a target on your back.

Well I was let go when I exposed our engineering dept that hired contractors to help FTR to obtain government funding for CAF funding in Wisconsin. Was told I was not making any friends. I would not let it go and so I was let go. Frontier does not care about ethics or employee rights management or craft.

Frontier doesn’t have enough POC in management positions. Frontier needs a DEI department to make sure that they stop hiring so many white people. Just saying.

Go on then, do it, if you're so sure. Can't wait to see how that ends up. $100 says you never will. I'm calling you out.

As I said. Already in the works. I’m not in the group of folks brining it forward. However, I have contributed documentation. Maybe, whomever you are is just clueless to the day to day operation (not surprising, most executives down to the 2nd lines are). However, the problem with management in this company is they don’t realize that many of the techs have an equal or higher education than they do. Some of us were even management ourselves when the company was run the right way under GTE and Verizon. Documentation was the name of the game then and still is for people that came from that culture. Frontier has no concept of proper documentation. They don’t even keep proper or accurate engineering records of their plant. The “engineers” are worthless. Without OSP keeping the real records nothing would get done. As I said the plant is a sh-tshow with all the subpar contractors that Frontier uses. I could continue on with an 89 page report of all the infractions and complete falsehoods this company perpetrates daily. It’s either incompetence or just plain fraud. You can decide which when the details are provided in full. And don’t worry. I won’t expect the $100. That’s chump change as compared to what’s coming. Carry on with the idea that you have the slightest idea what you’re talking about. It’ll be that much more rewarding when this is all presented. The little payroll lawsuit is peanuts in comparison.

"Why would anyone call the “company” whistleblower line? The correct call would be to the PUC and the FTC. I believe that’s already in the works. It is my understanding there is quite a lot of supporting documents to that claim. Perhaps, it is YOU that might want to consider shutting up."

This is total BS. If you have even the slightest fact to support your ridiculous claim, call the company whistleblower line. So either put up or shut up.

The vast majority of people here love the direction we're going. First time in many years I've felt that way. At last we have a shot at being a high performing company. I have literally no idea why the people on this forum are so negative. If they truly think that way, they should leave and let the rest of us get on with making Frontier great again....And I work in the field, not HR or Corporate.....

No. Not even a slight majority “loves” the direction. Maybe you enjoy the Kool Aid and the bs she’ll game they’re doing to make it appear we’re successful. However, if you’ve been around for any amount of time. You’d realize this is just a man behind a curtain trying to convince the market we are “worth” more than we are. The plant is a complete sh-tshow. And somehow the executives still think installing splitters on exhausted fiber equals “homes passed”. If we ever get investigated for fraud. The real cards will be shown. Don’t believe me. We still have over 5k GO95s that haven’t been completed since frontier took over. Yet, Verizon already gave money to Frontier for that work to be completed. Frontier spent that money the first year. Frontier signs off on them to stop the clock. That is until we get inspected again it’s determined NOTHING is completed. There are at least a dozen other examples that could be presented of the shadiness of this company. But yeah. Keep drinking the Kool Aid.

To the OP, I find it more than a little creepy that you have discovered the astrological sign of our CEO... at least, I think that's what you insinuated with your reference to the "bozo" who's a Leo. Trust me, I'm no fan and have questioned if he was ever born at all, nevermind finding out his birth day and month.

You failed to mention how your employment for "this dump" ended, but I will venture a guess that it was not entirely voluntary on your part... we can always ask the old racist if we need clarification, I guess.

On your new position, I'm sure everyone here will join me in congratulating you on your new career path at Dollar Tree. Go get 'em!

Couldn't agree more. Also a tech.

I can see the HR staff is actively monitoring and posting positive rebuttals to truthful posts about this company.

Errrrr profits are growing again, consumer is back to revenue growth for the first time in >10years, the build is going to plan so......guess you're not quite right on your observations. And if he needs to cut more staff to make the company long-term sustainable for the rest of us - he should. So pleased we have real leadership again and not the rag-bag of losers who 'managed' this company in the past.
