Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Best Behaved SVP… Uncon!

This was pulled down before… I will post this again without initials.

Australian Upstream Uncon SVP was booked last week for s-xual as--ult and dr-gs.

These are the people that are trying to tell you that YOUR behaviors are the problem! Not the self-serving XOM systems they’ve setup!

You have to scroll down quite a bit… it was a busy Thursday morning…

@4ozj If it said anything at all, it was probably something like “off-site meeting” or “strategic planning”. Executives put stuff like that on their schedules all the time then go sc--w-off somewhere.

@4mhr Sociopaths tend to protect one another. It’s a twisted instinct, but it also operates with disturbing levels of consistency in the context of corporate power.

Sorry to ask, but was the major infraction "not holding handrails while going up or down?"

OR

Was it exceeding the speed limit which resulted in a near miss (in this case a couple of Ms. / Mrs.) potentially getting hurt!

@3vjk+1oZNFhnb When two women, violence and a La Quinta were involved at 9am on a Thursday… we don’t question if dr-gs were at play

@3qhz EM fires people for far lessor reasons (or no reason at all) on a routine basis, so spare us all the BS.

The EM executive arrested for s-xual as--ult at the scene of the crime is a member of a protected class and is therefore being protected. This is probably why everyone is being told not to discuss it.

EM waiting for the case to be trier, if guilty, he loses his green cars and deported, fired for cause loses stock grants, retirement etc. If not guilty he converts to window dressing until he resigns. Divorce is pretty much a given unless his wife was the lady who made the call...

@2pmj Approximately $700k/year base + bonuses & equity.

There’s another thread where they’re picking it apart if you want to check it out.

He’s still getting it too. They haven’t fired or demoted him and his company Zoom account was reportedly active earlier today.

@2lpx Because the deviant is one of your senior executives and he was arrested on felony SA charges at the scene of the crime during working hours.

You also fire people for much less on a routine basis.

Anyway, damage is done. Like it or not, this guy is now the face of your organization.

@2lpx+1oZNFhnb Because … we comment on operational issues at facilities - regardless of who / what was at fault. We provide respectful statements saying we are committed to people and environment, etc. We can’t comment on an arrest where women were clearly distraught and felt in danger.

Why should EM comment on this right now? It didn’t happen while at work. We don’t know the details. Let the legal system handle it. Then the company can decide what to do. How they are handling it right now is pretty standard.

Over half of women and almost 1 in 3 men have experienced s-xual violence involving physical contact during their lifetimes. One in 4 women and about 1 in 26 men have experienced completed or attempted r-pe. (CDC data) By staying silent, EM is sending a LOUD message.

The company’s deafening silence on this and all of the other recent scandals against women at EM is embarrassing and hurtful. It would be a great opportunity to make a stand against bad behavior and remind women that they are valued and encouraged to say something when they feel uncomfortable. Instead it’s the women that see the careers hurt from these horrible situations #metoo #fellowvictim
