Thread regarding Fiserv Inc. layoffs

Being laid off now would be a blessing

I don’t know if everything they do now is intended to make us go away or to find reasons to kick us to the curb. I don’t really care. Nobody in their right mind would accept working under the conditions they’ve been imposing on us. I completely understand people who really need this job right now - it’s not always that easy to find another job, or to even find time and energy to look for one. I’m, however, already in the process of searching. As soon as a decent opportunity presents itself, I’m gone. What’s been happening lately with Fiserv is beyond usual corporate creepiness and greed - it’s insane.

Fiserv is not a good tech company to work for. The worst in my 20+ year career. Just putting in time now.

Take a look at LinkedIn and see how many people are desperate, downsizing, forced to move their kids school, move in with the in laws because their jobs laid them off and they’ve been out of work for months or even more than a year if you think it is a “blessing.”

I genuinely do wish I was laid off. Severance would be great. The minute you stop letting these fools scare you into conformity and adherence you start to look at life with a bit of optimism. In 5 years they won’t remember me and I damn sure won’t remember them. Oh and one last thing…please for the love of God, do not let this place be the most
Important thing in your life. Like they say the only people who will remember you working extra are your kids and family.

Fb is not above pilfering or violating agreements. He cost fi $25 million pilfering people from his previous employer.

That is not Fiserv's severance policy. Two weeks per year up to 26 weeks.

Also the post is illogical nonsense. The ten teams and twenty applications all have no work? But they only remove the person who manages all of that? Don't forget the "major project" that also has no work, somehow.

I didn't know you had to be here more than 5 years to get severance.

Wonder who he would take with him?….which Fiserv doesn’t allow pilfering employees

I was working 8 hours a day. Responsible for 10 delivery teams, 20 apps and on a major project. Company says since they do not have work, I got to go. Plus no severance as i have only 5 years here. Well hope my money helps them succeed.

Couldn’t agree more, its not like they’ve been successful in hitting targets or raising the share price or anything.

Oh, wait…

Many of us are out there doing the same. Fiserv is so foolish to watch the ship sink slowly. They are only worried about counting the dollars for shareholders for short term gains. I’m sure Frank B will dump his stock since he’s going to SSN office. Hopefully the new CEO isn’t from the 80’s or any of his current management team.
